Received a warm welcome from the owner and enjoyed the peaceful rural setting
Good clean facilities and access, well laid out, nice welcome from the owner. Walks available from the site. Good value.
Great site . Everything spotless seamless and timeless.Annie was an aware host who let you get on with your holiday responsibly. Only stressful experience was the intermittent WiFi . Campervans have their own 4G WiFi aerials routers but reception wasn’t strong enough for them or for phones
We were a group a 4 hikers and really enjoyed staying at the Bothie! We hiked the Loch Lomond & Cowal Way and there aren't many accomodations (especially for one night) in the area - so we booked two nights at Glendaruel but stayed one.Annie was lovely and absolutely fantastic - she went out of her way to help us with our luggage the next morning and offered to transport some of our bagpacks to our next accomodation. We were very grateful! The bothy was very cute, a bit tight for 4 people but it works - the beds weren't too comfy (if we would come again we would bring an extra sleeping mat). The seating area and the views outiside were fantastic! A lovely place we would come back again to with a car for a short getaway. We weren't sure about the cooking amenities (I think we read conflicting information on the website and the booking information) and didn't have time to doublecheck, so we were relieved to find a communal cooking area we could borrow cutlery from.A very lovely stay
Friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Annie was very approachable and friendly. Caravan was immaculate, as well as the rest of the site. Will definitely be back!
Lovely to find a site that’s quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Being in a tent, I really appreciated the microwave and kettle iand the indoor washing up facilities. Very clean all round and very tidy grounds. Washing machine and drying facilities also on site. Some lovely walks from the site and also central for travelling to other areas. Waking to birdsong was lovely with an added bonus of red squirrel on site. Lots of historical sites to visit and Benmore gardens are a must. Quite a way from a beach but within driving distance. Colintraive restaurant was lovely as was Five West in Tighnabruaich.
Lovely site, very peaceful and ideal for a relaxing getaway. Staff very helpful and friendly. On site facilities are excellent. Including for those less able. Liked how there is an electric point in the laundry room to recharge gadgets and use hair dryer if you're not on EHU. Spotlessly clean. Limited mobile signal but this is all explained in the information provided. No TV signal but we were lucky to have a pitch where we could use data on Vodafone to access online content. We visited Bowmore Gardens, Dunoon and the Isle of Bute. Definitely recommend Bowmore Gardens and Mount Stewart on Bute. A strenuous terrain around the site, so for us we didn't achieve as much cycling as planned. On hindsight we should have looked more into what is available nearby. Nearest shops/restaurants a half an hour away so we stocked up prior to arrival and didn't eat out during our stay.
The site and pitches were well laid out. Facilities more than adequate and very clean. There are a number of static holiday caravans on site, however they were well placed and not always in view.Good walks for dogs and owners.Anne (site owner) is friendly and helpful.
Annie the owner is lovely and welcoming. The site is immaculate. Beautiful views and plenty of walking from site. Equipped with everything to make a relaxing place to stay. Touring pitches are large. All the facilities are spotless and well thought out. Would definitely recommend. Had a lovely 3 night's stay.
