South Field: Tent Pitch - 1 Man Tent (No Car)

We have a separate grassy area for camping. Cars can be parked next to tents when conditions are fair. If there has been very wet conditions we do ask campers to park in the adjacent carpark. There are a number of benches in the field. We limit the number of tents giving everyone plenty of room. This is a great area to observe the dark skies. It is a short walk to the new facilities.

Beautiful area to stay.

Clafton, Richard - 22/09/2022

4

Good location for touring Cowal peninsula and easy access to Bute via Colintraive ferry. The toilet block facilities are modern and clean. Tent campers are also well catered for.Nearest food shops are approx 10 miles away. There are no basics (milk, bread etc) available on site so it would be a good idea to come prepared for at least your first day.I would definitely go back again.

Peaceful and clean. Friendly owner

Bell, Eleanor - 17/09/2022

5

Friendly owner, peaceful site. Unlike others the tourers space was laid out nicely with good space between pitches. Deer and red squirrel to be spotted plus a very friendly robin. Toilets and showers were great. Warm and clean. Laundry room great. It could do with slightly better signage at the entrance gate. We weren't sure we were OK to go through as it was closed and not completely clear that it was the entrance.

Perfect spot to relax surrounded by the spectacular Argyll scenery.

Bryson, Jim - 16/09/2022

Well run friendly campsite. Facilities well maintained and to high standard. Lots of options for walking nearby. Tigh na bruaich only 20 minute drive away on the Kyles of Bute, arguably the most picturesque of views in Scotland. Many fine restaurants also within short drive. It’s hard to think of anything negative to say about the site to convince the reader this is a genuine review. The main entrance is an ordinary farm gate, not the ubiquitous electric automated barrier, so you have to get out of your vehicle to open it. For me that’s a plus?

Beautiful area

Kay, David - 13/09/2022

The site was clean tidy and well set out. The caravan was clean and well appointed. The area was quite beautiful and the woods great for dog walks. Site staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi connectivity and mobile reception were a disappointment as was the distance to shops for supplies. But this did not detract too much from the holiday as a whole.
