South Field: Tent Pitch - 1 Man Tent (No Car)

We have a separate grassy area for camping. Cars can be parked next to tents when conditions are fair. If there has been very wet conditions we do ask campers to park in the adjacent carpark. There are a number of benches in the field. We limit the number of tents giving everyone plenty of room. This is a great area to observe the dark skies. It is a short walk to the new facilities.

A brief stay

Francis, Pat - 16/05/2022

We have stayed at Glendaruel twice before. We have been to other campsites in the area, but this is definitely the best. An added attraction is that we have seen red squirrels in the woods, but sadly not this time. The facilities are excellent and blend in well with the surrounding area. Annie is very helpful, particularly as we had a problem with our campervan, so she was able to recommend someone in Dunoon to sort it. A lovely site, in peaceful surroundings with great views of the countryside.

A pleasant and relaxed site.

Pearson, John - 13/05/2022

This is a relaxed and informal site. We enjoyed our stay..... the owner/warden is very friendly and helpful. I cannot comment on the toilet and washroom facilities because we did not go near them. The chemical toilet emptying point is easy to use and hygienic. The water access points are plentiful. The waste bins were full and the area smelled unpleasant but I am sure that there would be a reason for this beyond the control of the warden...... more, and smaller, bins located around the site would be beneficial. The site is in a beautiful location and is protected by a closed gate and a notice repelling visitors unless a prior appointment has been made so security is not an issue. We had four quiet and peaceful nights there and would return if we are back in Cowal.

Glendaruel Caravan Park get the thumbs up.

Cowan, Blair - 12/05/2022

Glendaruel Caravan Park is a wee gem, and provides a good base for exploring the Cowal Peninsula, and the Cowal Way in particular. The owner made me feel very welcome, and the relaxed feel of the site made for a very pleasant stay. The site is around 10 miles from a grocery store / pub, so ensure you bring your own supplies along....

Wonderful time

Palmer, Sandra - 25/04/2022

5

We had a wonderful time and Annie was absolutely amazing. We even got two free eggs on arrival which made out mountain view breakfast the next morning even better. The campsite is perfectly laid out with new and spotless facilities and lots of places to explore for young and old. A lovely walk up a waterfall just behind the site and lots of other places for day trips in all directions. We loved our stay and will come back for sure.

You were there when we needed you!

Parkman, Brian - 02/11/2021

Having to drive the 120 extra miles round the Loch as the Tarbert ferry had “come into contact with the sea bed”, we needed somewhere to stay. Glendaruel came to our rescue and a very pleasant night, a fine walk and pleasant conversation with the owner … and the ferry engineer … ensued. Thanks!

Family visit

Wilson, Pamela - 18/10/2021

5

Stayed in one of the static caravans that are available for rental. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable. Nice and warm, thanks to central heating. Plenty of space for family of four in van. Lovely grounds with lots of space for kids to play and roam, safely. Very peaceful spot. Most enjoyable.

Totally Satisfied

Wilson, Iyline - 11/10/2021

I chose Glendaruel Caravan Park due to having lived close to it for quite a few years. I loved the quiet rural location, the ambience and many walks. The staff were professional, friendly and gave excellent assistance in all matters. I was so impressed by the Glendaruel Caravan Park, Staff and overall high standards, that I have booked a caravan to buy for my husband and I, starting the new 2022 season.
