Amazing place to stay

Argent, Edward - 09/01/2025

Stayed here as a solo traveller for winter mountaineering and walking. Absolutely stunning location. Holiday cottages are well spaced out in beautiful surroundings. There is a lot of wildlife on your doorstep. The cottages are superbly well equipped and I even had a festive hamper full of goodies waiting for me when I arrived which was a lovely touch. The cottage was warm and comfortable and a great base to come back to and relax in after a day out on the hills. It's close to the town for shops / supermarket etc and ideally based for exploring further afield if you want to. It's also right at the foot of one of the trails up Ben Nevis, so no need to take the car. It really was an amazing place to stay, one of the best self catering places I have been to.

Fantastic holiday cottage

Pinnell, Caroline - 07/01/2025

The holiday cottage was gorgeous Very well equipped with everything you would need to start your holiday, we booked between Christmas and new year and the cottage was tastefully decorated and we had a Christmas hamper. The bathroom was a little tired but still perfectly useable. The park was well kept and the staff we interacted with were really pleasant The wildlife outside in the garden was amazing. We saw a red squirrel and a greater spotted woodpecker as well as your normal birds. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to return one day Thanks

Always a pleasure to return

Brown, Chris - 06/01/2025

Have been coming here for many years now and the park and surrounding area never fails to disappoint. We stayed again in one of the luxury cottages. Gorgeous hamper on arrival for new year. The cottage has everything you need and is very cosy on a cold winters evening. A couple of comfort issues where some seat pads would be useful on dining chairs and maybe a new sofa needed but that could just be our bottoms lol. The bed is amazingly comfortable however. The lounge window is very large and whilst we appreciate the views some voile on a rail that could be open or closed to people's preferences woukd be useful for privacy issues at times. This is a quiet site, quite busy for New Year but to be expected. Plenty of wildlife to see, the Highland Cows down the Glen always a welcome site as well as seeing snow on top of The Ben.We will never tire of visiting this piece of heaven.

Amazing scenery

Vick, Jackie - 04/01/2025

We always stay in cottage no 8 for the views from the front window. We love it there and try to come back every two years. The cottage is well catered for visitors with everything required for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Plenty of parking on site and the cottages are easy access from the main road.Watching the birds feeding and waiting for the Pine Marten to visit every night is a highlight. I adore Highland cows so a short walk along the way to the neighbouring field is a must for me. You can take a pleasant 20 min walk up to the Ben Nevis Inn along the rivers edge for a drink or three before walking back.Fort William has an array of different shops catering for most needs including 3 supermarkets. This holiday destination is definitely worth the money especially if you want peace and tranquility at Christmas time.

Despite the dreadfully wet and mild weather we enjoyed our stay yet again. The cosy and well equipped cottage makes other issues such as the weather irrelevant, the cottage is just a really nice place to be.

Leatherland, Tom & Beryl - 02/01/2025

We were so impressed that when we reported that the microwave had stopped working, it was replaced with an identical one that smae morning, although we had stressed that there was no urgency for us [but for the next guests]. I cannot fault the cottage or the service given - even down to providing bird food! One thing that I could say is that the light in the living room, the one over the sofa, could do with being brighter to make reading more comfortable. Whenever the sofa is replaced, in the fullness of time, due to wear and tear by guests [there is plenty of life left in it at the moment!] could I suggest that a bigger [ie wider] one is provided?Locally there is loads to do; we are hillwalkers, and although we have ascended all the local hills in both summer and winter, and some of them several times, we still gain enjoyment from being in the area. Equally there are lots of low level walks and activities, and some indoor attractions too. We are never bored here!

Home from home, an excellent base to explore the Scottish Highlands. 100% would recommend

Pearce, Gavin - 20/12/2024

I first stayed here in 2023, I returned in Dec 2024 and I will be back again soon. Communication with the team in the run-up to my stay was first-class. The lodge was clean and welcoming and nice and toasty as we entered after a night of travelling and with it being bitingly cold outside, the warmth was so welcoming. All the rooms were laid out well. The welcome tea and coffee was a nice touch. While I enjoyed a calming brew my nephews enjoyed playing a game or two on the PS4.Some electrical work was undertaken during our stay, for one day only. This didn't affect our stay or plans, but as a courtesy, we were given an extra night's stay f.o.c. Who does that these days? An extra day in Scotland? Yes, please.I can't comment on the facilities as I stayed out of season so the restaurant etc. was closed. The site was spotless, nice and calm. It's such a peaceful place to stay.If I am not back in 2025 I will definitely be back in 2026. I would 100% recommend staying here.

Annual visit.cottage has all amenities to make for an enjoyable and relaxing time. Very clean;staff very approachable, any minor issues dealt with very quickly. Our only problem-slight problem with toilet cystern and possible leaking shower screen.Wonderful views of ben nevis.4 week old highland calf in next field!!!.Because of the time of year site restaurant closed but plenty of eateries in the town. Ideally situated as a base to visit the surrounding area.

We stayed in a holiday cottage, these are very comfortable and warm with good kitchen facilities etc.The location is very quiet and relaxing. Great access to outdoors for walkers etc. Arrival and key drop-off arrangements work really well.We had a power cut one evening which was swiftly investigated and sorted out by the on-call staff member. We would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay.

This was our second stay in the holiday cottage at Glen Nevis, it did not disappoint us, the accommodation was just as good as last year, everything worked and the place was spotless.
