Glen Nevis is an award-winning caravan and camping park surrounded by spectacular Highland scenery at the foot of Ben Nevis. Experience this stunning area fully by exploring the many footpaths that wind through the magical forests and alongside the mighty River Nevis. And if exploring isn’t for you, take time to relax on site and simply take in the immense views and fresh mountain air.
At Glen Nevis, we maintain a peaceful park with a relaxed, inclusive and friendly atmosphere and we pride ourselves on the quality of our facilities and landscaping. Our spacious tent and caravan areas provide guests with plenty of space to locate the perfect pitch and our restaurant and bar provide a comfortable place to relax and sample some delicious local food and drink.
In addition to the fantastic facilities that are available to guests on site, that isn’t where your Glen Nevis experience ends. We have our own Highland Estate with grounds extending to over 1,000 acres and a herd of Pedigree Highland Cattle. A large campsite with excellent facilities and equipment in a beautiful location and friendly staff. I recommend.
Everything was clean, the tent pitches a bit muddy but ok. Staff really friendly. The only downside was the absence of shelter for backpackers to cook when it rains.
Toilets may be dated but always cleanStaff are very friendlyExcellent locationTakeaway and shop exceptionally for a campsite Bar and restaurant within walking distance
Excellent base for walking ,friendly helpful staff, good facilities and plenty of space
Excellent location and facilities, large and pleasant pitches, lots of greenery.
Seven night stay in a ⛺ excellent facilities, everything you need. In walking distance from Fort William, plenty of walking routes in the area and of course Ben Nevis. The Commando memorial near Spean bridge is well worth a visit also Nevis range. All in all a great place to stay, I would highly recommend.
I have stayed at various sites throughout Scotland from club sites to independent sites and Glen Nevis has been the best. Contactless arrival makes it easy and prevents delay. The facilities are very well maintained and clean, with staff being very helpful and friendly. Nice big pitches with plenty of privacy in the way of hedge rows or bushes. Location couldn’t be any better for climbing Ben Nevis or doing some exploring of the area, with a short drive into Fort William. My only issue was the male toilets at night. The roof windows above the toilet cubicles act as mirrors which allow anybody using the cubicles to see each other, not ideal in terms of privacy. Nevertheless would return and recommend the site and look forward to my next stay in the spring / summer.
Good size, well spaced out pitches. Pre-arrival information welcoming and useful. Relevant to those without car, poor (wet) weather made it difficult to walk or cycle the two and a half miles into town. Buses operate a reliable timetable but only basically from 9.00-5.00. The drivers will drop you off at the campsite if you ask but I don’t know they would pick up there; I used the Youth Hostel official stop. Adult fare is £2.50 each way; taxi £8-10 each way.
My husband and i had a lovely relaxed time at this site, pitches were a good size and did not leave you feeling like you were squashed in, even though the park was busy but also quiet at night. The staff were lovely and knowledgeable. There is lovely walk along the river which was good for us oldies but for the more enthusiastic people the views from the top of the mountains must be amazing, one night we sat at our pitch and watched the night time tours by torchlight walking up the mountain. The shop was well stocked with all the necessary needs and it has the choice of eating out with the bar and restaurant a short walk from the site and also the campfire kitchen on site. Overall the site was clean and well set out with amazing views and we are looking forward to our next visit.
