Lovely caravan site for families, amazing location with direct access to the lake. Helpful staff on hand and brilliant facilities. Couldn’t have asked for anymore, would definitely return.

Large campsite in an ideal location for Bala Lake. About 3 miles outside of Bala town along a bus route. Facilities were very good and cleaned regularly. Staff were very friendly and helpful too. Our only issue was the ‘free for all’ parking outside of designated pitches. We were allocated a hard standing pitch which was great. Unfortunately the next day a car with tent box parked pretty close to us followed by van, who was part of the group, parked so close we couldn’t have put our awning out if we had wanted to. As we were only there for a further 2 nights we didn’t complain. Also, we have noticed that this has become more prevalent, the lack of consideration for your pitch. People walking between you and your van when sat outside. On one occasion I nearly knocked someone off their bike when opening the van door because they were cycling so close to the van. Saying that, that is not the parks fault but the ignorance of some of the people camping there.

We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The facilities were excellent — the toilets and showers were spotless, and the pitch was level and well maintained. We had a warm, friendly welcome from the staff, and it was an added bonus that we could speak Welsh.Overall, a lovely campsite with great service and clean amenities. We’ll definitely be returning.

We had a great time at this campsite, pitches are huge giving you plenty of space and the lake access is lovely. Only thing I will say is having more dog waste bins around the campsite would be helpful as well as another toilet block, we were on the opposite side of the campsite and having to walk up the hill everytime we needed the loo wasn’t fun especially in the night!

I’m always hesitant to stay at caravan parks as someone who prefers quieter, smaller campsites. But Glanllyn Caravan Park has everything good about those and so much more! The facilities were always clean, everyone was quiet on a night, and I’ve honestly never slept so peacefully when camping. The biggest highlight is the access to Bala Lake. We brought our paddleboard and it was so lovely to go out on it every day. The views are incredible too! Definitely would come back and will be recommending this site to others.

From first arriving at the site we were impressed by the tidiness and cleanliness. We were greeted in reception and given instructions on where everything was and also informed of a Triathlon passing through the site on the Sunday which admittedly we hadn’t realised but we were told we’d have either vacated before 9am or stay until after 3 at no extra charge.. it was a no brainer and we stayed until after the event which we went and watched as the weather was lovely. We were really impressed and can’t wait to visit again with the paddleboards.

Beautiful campsite on the lakeshore with pristine toilet and shower blocks. Would definitely stay again, Glanllyn caravan park was really lovely and it was great to have such easy access for a swim in the lake!
