As a traditional country pub and restaurant, The Duke Of York at Pomeroy also has a lovely adult-only campsite with fantastic views and hardstanding pitches with electric. The modern shower and toilet facilities benefit from underfloor heating for those colder days. Traditional homemade and locally sourced food - breakfast, coffee, lunch and evening meals - and real ales are served in our dining room and cosy dog-friendly bar. A small kiosk shop stocks everyday items with fresh supplies available to pre-order
We have an all year round adult only 30 pitch caravan site, mostly hardstanding. All pitches have their own electric hook up. There is a water point for every 2 pitches (shared).
Our shower and toilet block has been recently upgraded and in addition to the expected quality showers and toilets, we also provide a pot washing area. We also have a shower and toilet facility for disabled guests.
**Dogs – Max 2 per pitch. We request that all dogs are kept on leads at all times on site. The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act. Although we do not have a dog exercise field, we are bordered by many footpaths and close to the High Peak Trail. Dogs are welcome in the bar area of the pub.

Excellent level gravel pitches with EHU and water. Easy grey water disposal, but no drive over. Outstanding views. Clean modern excellent showers and toilets. Some road noise from the busy and fast A515. A warm and kind welcome and excellent pub food in the Duke of York. We will be back!
Lovely campsite with great walks for the dog followed up with a nice meal in the pub.
Excellent site we were welcomed when we arrived and given information on the local area and shown to our pitch there is water and electric for each pitch and the facilities including washing .cleaning. chemical disposal .toilets and showers are excellent Views are beautiful there are many excellent walks nearby it is ideally located for most of the main Derbyshire tourist spots the meals n the pub at night are superb
We stayed for two nights, the campsite was clean, modern facilities. Plenty of hot water for a much needed shower after a long day hiking. Good quality food and a large drink selection with some great ales to try. The bar had a lovely fire and a welcoming atmosphere, if you have a dog you can take them into the pub while you dine. If you don't want to dine in the main bar you have the restaurant that is dog free! The two ladies who served us where very friendly and informative. The pub is on the main road but very quiet and in a great location to explore the local are, just a 15 drive to buxton, and plenty of lovely walks in the surrounding countryside.
The campsite was well located for visiting the Peak District. The pub was clean and cosy serving good food. The toilet and shower facilities were very basic but clean and hot showers. They could do with better heating as it was freezing once you got out of the shower . I would definitely recommend it to others
Great location for a camp site next to a great pub serving good food and hospitality with great views over the Derbyshire countryside. The camp site pitches are of a good size, the toilets and showers are clean and tidy.Sit is well positioned for a number of walks from the site. Which supplies a map with three good local walks
Lovely place to stay, booked short notice and was made to feel welcome. The pub on grounds is dog friendly and served lovely food.
Lovely quiet campsite, level pitches, very well organised with information and walks to access from the campsite on arrival, lots of walking in fact if you like that. Food in the pub, delicious, very clean and really friendly staff and management, nothing was problem. Will definitely, definitely return
The Duke of York is very friendly and welcoming the pub itself is loverly and the food was good, the facilities on site were very clean and well maintained. The only reason I wouldn’t stay here again is the price out of season was too high at £35 for a night.
Good hardstanding pitches with water and ehu on each.pitch. lovely views. Pub food nice with good choices and close to high peak for walks or bike rides. Ideal winter stay.
