Myself and my husband booked a bothy to stay, when we arrived we were told there was a technical problem with it (they did try calling me beforehand but i missed it) so we were given a free upgrade to a lodge. The lovely receptionist led us down to the lodge, and showed us around, it was immaculate and well decorated. And had everything you need, utensils, washing up kit, pots and pans, fridge tv etc.My only one criticism was, the double bed (which felt like two singles pushed together) was very uncomfortable personally for me. I could feel the springs pushing through the mattress and the pillows were too soft. (personal preference maybe)But apart from that, wondeful stay, also the shower was amazing! Will definitely be back a 5th time!
Having stayed at Herding Hill Farm previously, we were made aware of Drummohr Camping and Glamping site. Not wanting to stay in centre of Edinburgh, we opted to stay in one of the Glamping Bothy's and were not disappointed. Warm welcome by the staff and the warden who showed us to where we were staying was very informative and pleasant.Bothy was warm, clean and nicely furnished, with added bonus of en suite and small kitchen area.Site was well laid out, shower block and other facilities were very clean.Easy to venture into Edinburgh by train or bus, but nice to escape the hustle and bustle after a busy day battling crowds.Would definitely return and recommend. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!
Lovely site toilet/shower block clean and in our November stay warm. Not far from a bus stop to go into Edinburgh have stayed a few times in our motor home and in the pods friendly staff
Very friendly welcome; nice, spacious pitch; toilet and shower facilities were clean, warm and modern; easy access into Edinburgh - wish we'd had more time to enjoy the area.
I love drummhor campsite especially in the autumn and winter months as it is so peaceful and the colours are beautiful. Great place for a wee campfire under the stars. The site is so clean and the facilities are second to none- definitely 5 star or more. Even better than that are the staff, they are a wonderful bunch of people who are so welcoming and nothing is ever a bother. I mostly travel alone and always feel safe and cared for by the drummhor team. Thanks again
A great 5* site near to Edinburgh. The whole site is well kept and facilities are excellent also easy to catch the bus in to Edinburgh, we will definitely be back
We stayed 4 nights and would have given a 5 star if the laundry facilities had been open. Instead we had to go to town to find a laundromat. Granted, it was only 5 min away but we couldn't go until it opened in the morning and we spent 2hrs there instead of siteseeing. Everything else was great. Restrooms were clean with good hot water. The pitch was level so at the end of each day we just drove in and hooked up. The staff we spoke to were very friendly and one recommended a fantastic restaurant in Musselburgh. Very close to the park and ride. Wood definitely stay again
Good location within walking distance of beach, shops and takeaways Staff friendly and helpful.Facilities clean and well maintained. Kitchen prep area with sink and microwave, and vending machines very useful .A bonus for dog travellers, Handy dog walk with bins, within site
We stayed for 4 nights in a dog friendly lodge. First impressions were excellent. A really well equipped and decorated, modern lodge with plenty of space for the 6 of us plus our dog. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Site is in a great location for exploring the area. Definitely recommend it.
