Very enjoyable stay in Drumaheglis. I was our first time out with our new pup cockapoo Tilly. And she enjoyed herself as much as what we did. And as usual the Slipway cafe was top notch. Very good food and extremely pleasant staff. Looking forward to going back.Have to mention as well that this was a holiday that was moved from another date. We can't thank the warden enough for doing that for us.
We had a very pleasant stay at Drumheglis marina, facilities were good just slightly dated, washbasins and toilets were stainless steel, shower required £1.00 lasted ages 8 minutes, only issue I had was the lights were on a timer and if you showered a bit later on in the day you will be in the dark in the shower, the park has a splendid cafe serving breakfasts and lunches, it's a big park but we'll kept, clean, tidy with a fabulous walk all the way round the park, I would love a seasonal pitch but it would be like winning the lottery as they're all taken and people renew them each year, but no.problems during our stay warden was always at hand for queries xx
Fun to stay for couple of nights but a bit basic for any longer. Would recommend you bring a folding table for eating indoors when wet! Says sleeps 4 but family had one with 2 young children & daughter fell off bed during the night even with a barrier they brought with them. Cafe on site great for breakfast but not open for evening meals. Would go back as thought price was good!
We booked into Drumaheglis as I had an event to attend on the Saturday night & I wanted to avoid a long drive home afterwards. What a lovely site by the river. Nice clean toilet block & added bonus of a cafe on the site. Okay park was good for the kids. Overall a good experience. We’ll definitely be back
Love this site but it needs a lot of tidying on each stand . The weeds are well above the pavers on the stands. Nettles need attended to around the park. Yes wild areas are nice but it just looks very unkempt. This site was always well maintained but standards have slipped badly. We don’t have a lot of sites in N Ireland and this is one of the better ones with onsite water and drainage. So try and bring it back. Therefore I can change my score from 3 to 5 . Your on site hosts are lovely and we are a big fan over the years of Peter.
Used this site 4 times for visits to Ireland and its a great site and a base for local sites and attractions
Needs toilets and showers updating. Very dated and not sufficient toilets in women’s. Cafe is wonderful and the staff so helpful. Pitches need updating- very water logged and muddy- not level with concrete pitch.
Great spot nice walks camp site is lovely with all you Need including a lovely cafe
Site was adequate , toilet,/shower areas could do with better cleaning, and generally tlc, The heater in the shower area were not working. Water connection, drainage was good .
