Quite, but local pubs. Friendly staff, clean warm shower and toilet block. Shop for essentials, been a few times and will return
Lovely campsite well laid out with spacious pitches. The facilities were excellent and the site is very close to the village of Freckleton which has the usual shops and two pubs. There is another pub (The Ship Inn) which can be reached in the opposite direction or down a public footpath which is lovely. The site is next to the aerodrome and sometimes you can see the planes coming into land and also taking off. Not too much bother and they don't fly at night or at weekends. Staff are also welcoming and very nic. It's close to Lytham and St Annes. Well worth a visit.Definitely will be coming back.
Stayed for one night on our way to a ferry crossing from Heysham and found the site well equipped with good facilities and helpful, friendly staff. Site was easy to reach and facilities clean and welcoming, will be back.
Good site easy access to surrounding area and bus routes only thing when walking back at night no lights on road torch really needed
A well kept site. Facilities very good although I was surprised to see no mop and bucket in the gents for shower users to clean up after themselves , The site was within walking distance of the village with its three pubs, a nice cafe and shops to cater for all your everyday needs. The bus stop near the war memorial in the village was handy for buses to either Preston or to Blackpool in the other direction.
All our friends arrived early, car problems for me, so I was after 5pm. The site very kindly rang me to give me the Gate code,so I could get in along with my Pitch number. Staff were helpful in all ways. Site and showers etc were spotlessly clean. The 12 of us ate out every day,and there were some wonderful pubs close by the site. for Real Ale and food. Site is convenient for the coast and inland villages and bus service from Freckleton. Footpath from site to The Ship Inn, 10 mins, were the food and Ale was excellent. Closed Monday but On Tuesday 30% reduction on Main course, whist we were there in early September 2023.There must be a reason, but we did not see any signs for the site, to guide us. My fault I took a wrong turn on the Monday and landed up by the Ship Inn, fortunately they were close dso I turned around in their Car Park.We would certainly return and stay there again. The site is next to the BAE Warton aerodrome, some interesting planes were seen.
We had a really pleasant stay with a group of friends. The amenities were excellent and staff very friendly.Highly recommended.
must be the best touring park in the area, easy access to all the coastal attractions.
We booked Donkey Creek for a weekend break as it was reasonably close for us and close to the coastal attractions in the north west. I have stayed on 100s caravan sites and this stood out as the best. Will 100% be coming back.
