We enjoyed our time at Cushendall site . lovely scenery even thought we were in the middle of storm Cathleen'. It was very scary for our first time away..we didn't stay the second night because of the storm. The facilities were excellent .very clean toilets..we had a few lovely walks along the beach and into the village for a drink.Got a pizza delivery later that night.. we look forward to coming back when the weather is better.. highly recommended.

Easter stay at Cushendall Caravan Site

Cameron, Desmond - 06/04/2024

Cushendall Caravan site is very nice. The only negative comments I would have is that in the mens toilets, one was out of order the whole time of our stay. In the mens showers, the clothes hooks are in the common area outside the shower cubicles, whereas it would be better to have more wall mounted clothes hooks in each cubicle. The water connection for each caravan is sited centrally between 2 caravans and in our case it was on the wrong side for the connection to the caravan. Thankfully our hose connection was just about long enough. Most caravans have a connection point at the ‘driver-side’ of the caravan, so it would be better if there were a tap situated halfway down the pitch on this side with an accompanying waste gully. When we were booking, the front sites were all taken within the first few moments of booking, though Site 14 was ok. I had asked that I be contacted if a front row site became available, but this didn’t happen, despite Site 2 being unoccupied after our 1st night

Poor facility

Montgomery, Ken - 05/04/2024

Disappointed. Start of a new season and spider webs still around window frames since last year. I would have expected the toilets to at least had a lick of paint over the winter but no. One of the toilets out of order. The only thing this site has in its favour is the location. The facility’s are run down and inadequate. If this site was privately owned the council wouldn’t pass it!

I think that there should be a separate toilet facility for campsite from a hygiene and safety point of view.
