Located on the border of counties Mayo and Galway in Ireland's Lake District, Cong Camping, Caravan & Glamping Park is a small, award-winning and family-run. Set within an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Park is just 1 mile from the beautiful village of Cong in the Joyce Country & Western Lakes Geopark in Connemara.
There are a number of sheltered places for campers with tents to pitch up, close to the shower and toilet facilities. The Park also has a choice of both sheltered hardstanding and grass pitches for motorhomes and caravans available. Free WiFi is available at all the pitches.
Cong's glamping bell tents are each fully furnished with a double bed and 2 single beds. The beds are fully dressed with duvets and linen. All you need to bring with you are towels and toiletries. The 5m x 5m bell tents have electricity, WiFi and a picnic table.
As well as the kitchen area (with fridge, freezer, microwaves, hobs, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans), there is also a sitting room, mini-cinema, laundry and children's playground.
16 amp electricity is available for tent pitches provided you have your own electric hook up connection and a cable/lead that is at least 25m long. Your camping lead needs to have a round blue 3 pin plug on one end, which is the standard lead throughout Europe, which connects into our system.
Cong Camping, Caravan & Glamping Park is the perfect location to get away from it all, return to nature, unwind and relax. The local village is one of Ireland's hidden gems - located between Loughs Mask and Corrib surrounded by forests and mountains.
While it is easy to spend a week or more enjoying the many things to do and see in Cong, it is also a great base from which to explore the west of Ireland including the Wild Atlantic Way, Westport, Clifden, Achill Island, the Aran Islands, Galway city and the Knock Shrine. With the wonderful new motorway Cong is now only 2 and a half hours drive from Dublin.
The Wild Atlantic Way is one of the world's most captivating touring coastal routes, along the rugged west coast of Ireland. Perched on the edge of Europe, the dramatic Atlantic coastline is a jaw-dropping showstopper. Around every bend in the road lies unmissable scenery and unforgettable experiences. Feel re-invigorated and refreshed as the sea spray blows away the cobwebs. Taste the fresh salty Atlantic air coming across the Bay Coast route – a stunning section of the Wild Atlantic Way along the Galway and Mayo coastline. Wild rugged and liberating – there is nowhere else quite like it.

Everything about the site was good very close to village was not that far of a walk 10/15min overall very good thanks
Pleasant site within walking distance to the village. Staff are very helpful and facilities good. Pitches are arranged close together, meaning that campers don't get much privacy and noise transmits across the site easily.
We stayed at Cong for 3 nights, which was a sufficient time. The pitch was good, at the end of the site, not the “car park” end in the middle. We were sheltered and that helped as we would not have been able to spend any time outside our motorhome due to the frequent showers. The surrounding area is very picturesque and the locals are very friendly, although the gatekeeper at the castle did initially refuse us to pass through the grounds. We did not use the facilities on site as they were either damp, or had grass and mud coming in. But, the location made up for this. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and recommend a stay in this gorgeous part of Ireland.
Lovely campsite! 100% recommended!
Perfect grass length. Serious rain but great soakage during our stay. Camp site close to toilets. Great for small kids. Playground on site. Great care needed when crossing road from pitch to buildings. Perhaps hedge should be trimmed back. Microwave has to be replaced in kitchen. Staff lovely . So quite at night. Cong Is such a small place but it is one of those little villages you fall in love with. We had our dog with us for 1st time which limited our meals out. DANAGHERS was our goto place for food with outside seating. Lovely wood walks and a fab food festival the weekend we stayed.
Everything is 100% Could not get any faults A BIG THANKS to everyone
Excellent campsite, short walk into Cong & had a great time at the Cong food festival
Disappointed at extra charge for showers not mentioned at booking.Pitch we were on was a car park for same price as better pitches .Moterhomes close together on that part
Very satisfied with everything - from the pitch to the facilities and the location
מקום נעים , מתקנים ברמה טובה. נקי . ובעל הבית קיבל אותנו בנועם.
