We are new to caravaning, so this is our third time away, the site was close to where my daughter lives and that’s why we chose it.I would use again to be able to be close to my daughters, but would not use it as a holiday destination as we felt the site had nothing of interest for us and there was no hot water in the shower block, but still had to pay the full price. It’s nice enough if you are using it to fish,
We have a caravan stored at site, along with other family members, the staff try to accommodate us to be in a collective group and this is generally good. However, my brother-in-law and I like to fish and the fishing has been very poor indeed this past year. We are not experts but had enjoyed a good days fishing in the past, these days we catch little or nothing. It has been so poor, we have in fact joined a club and go elsewhere for our fishing while staying at Cobbleacre. The site and facilities are generally clean and well maintained, however the shower block entrance door is falling off and only two shower (ladies) are working but cannot adjust temparatures, which are generally too hot. The showers in the new building are not yet operational? Overall, we find it easy and convenient to take a break at Cobbleacre, we enjoy our time there but its not as good as it could be.
I enjoyed my stay here it was quiet and peaceful the grounds were kept clear of rubbish. Next time I will bring my fishing gear didn't bring this trip as was meeting up with family for trips around local area
I return to this site time after time when visiting Family in Norfolk. The site is quiet and picturesque, with a well stocked shop and friendly staff. Also perfect if you like fishingThe toilet and shower block is basic but spotlessly clean. My only gripe is that it is a bit of a trek from the electric pitches, if you need to use the facilities at night. Take a good torch with you because it is dark!I would definitely recommend this site and will be back again soon
This site is beautiful, it has lakes for fishing and some lovely walks for the dog. . The staff are extremely helpful and friendly but not intrusive. The location is perfect with the Norfolk broads and coastline easily accessible. There is a lovely shop on site for the essentials and it’s licenced! And just five miles away is aylsham with a range of supermarkets And individual shops and tea rooms. If I have to find fault it’s the toilet facilities, although clean and the showers are fine, it’s quite a hike from the campsite. I have been told this will be rectified by next season so I look forward to that and then the site will be just perfect.
My partner wanted to spend a day fishing. I was happy to chill out and read. I wouldn't want to spend too long there as I would have been bored.Main downside was a longish trek to showers and toilets but as we are self sufficient in our camper van it didn't bother us
Our first visit here and our first outing with our caravan nice large he pitch carpark not to far away as we had a transit van could not park next to caravan nice clean toilets and showers sham about the long walk to them as not very good on feet but hopefully on next visit the new one will be finished close to all costal towns and local pubs we had a meal at the plough on last nite very nice if you want to eat at the fox definitely book in advance
very tidy caravan spotless if a little cramped had to work hard at the fishing but beat personal best carp
We are wanting to book again next year but just need the prices for 2023
A bit rough round the edges on first impressions. Don't go by them. We gad a fantastic pitch, fully serviced and overlooking one of the fishing lakes. I don't fish, but nevertheless, it was a great site to walk the dog round. It's also pretty near all the attractions that that part of Norfolk has to offer. Will definitely think about going back next year. They have handy shop that'll get you out of a fix if need be. The toilets and showers are clean and functional, but there's a new block be built and should be ready for next season. Thanks Cobbleacre.
