A tranquil retreat with a range of accommodations and facilities to suit all budgets and preferences, Claylands Caravan Park is rich in family history and rests in the beautiful rural parish of Cabus, Lancashire.
Having proudly owned the park for over 50 years, The Robinson family have invested heavily into the Park’s infrastructure and facilities. Over the years, they have transformed Claylands from a modest family farm into a beautifully landscaped holiday park, offering quality holidays in nature.
Nestled along the banks of the River Wyre, Claylands is enveloped by over 5000 indigenous trees, creating a sanctuary for wildlife and bird enthusiasts. Guests are encouraged to keep an eye out for a variety of creatures, including squirrels, foxes, deer, rabbits, and approximately 85 bird species.
The Park is home to 35 hard standing touring pitches, each thoughtfully designed with its own lawn area, providing an opportunity to extend campers living space. Most of these pitches are fully serviced and include a separate awning area. Additionally, there is a designated tent area where half of the pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups.
Touring facilities at Claylands Caravan Park are modern and well-maintained. A 24-hour shower and toilet block, complete with disabled access and a baby change area, ensures convenience for all visitors. The park also offers free Wi-Fi throughout, enhancing the overall camping experience. For those seeking leisure activities for younger campers, an Adventure Playground provides an additional option for children.
For those who prefer self-catering accommodations, Claylands offers two holiday cottages - Field View and River View. These cottages are designed with a high standard of furnishing, accommodating up to 7 people each. They feature modern decor with character and provide all the necessary services and facilities for a comfortable stay. Small pets are welcome, and private parking is provided.
The park extends its hospitality with ensuite rooms that are located above the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant. Accessible via a spiral staircase, these rooms offer comfort and luxury with splendid views of the surrounding countryside.
Speaking of the Stepping Stones Bar & Restaurant, it has been a cherished on-site venue since 1999. This establishment provides a perfect setting to unwind and savour home-cooked meals with refreshing drinks. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the countryside while partaking in quality entertainment, including regular events and bingo nights. The bar also hosts special event weekends, which are immensely popular among visitors.
Catering to the needs of caravan enthusiasts, campers, and those seeking holiday cottages or en suite rooms, the team at Claylands offer a warm and friendly welcome. Combined with the scenic surroundings, a stay at Claylands ensures a memorable and enjoyable stay for all guests.

Another great weekend here at the Claylands’s park . We have been coming here for several years and it never disappoints . All the staff are super friendly , the location is great for walks and country side views . The food is lovely and a nice atmosphere in the bar . Good amenities and the pitch sizes are good .
Will definitely be back in the future, possibly consider buying a holiday home, think next time I book will do some fishing and walking Thanks Paul and Lorraine
Thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed your stay with us, it would be great if you had a holiday home on our park, please give us a call if you would like to discuss this further
Pitch waterlogged, directly inter power cables bar full of drunk locals
Good afternoonThank you for your 1 star review and comment. We always like to hear positive and negative comments. As I remember rightly the day you were due to arrive for a 2 night stay you called to say you were unable to and would be coming the following day for 1 night. You duly arrived at approximately 4pm where you were welcomed and given your electricity card along with directions to the utility block, laundry, bar and restaurant and importantly your pitch. Within 30 minutes you walked past the office heading for the bar and restaurant and were in there for about 45 minutes according to security cameras. You left and headed back to your pitch. At no point on going past the Reception did you mention a waterlogged pitch or drunk locals. Both these points we are struggling to understand as your pitch has a new surface with the correct drop on it to disperse water if it rains. Secondly we have reviewed the bar cameras and at no point could see any drunk locals other than people enjoying an afternoon meal and drink. On checking out you returned your card saying the pitch was wet, at this point we did offer you a choice of available pitches which you refused. you then left.
Really enjoyed our stay. Access to the campsite is easy. Very welcome and helpful person at the reception. Facilities are really clean. Looking forward to our next stay there.
We welcome you taking the time to review the park and look forward to seeing you again
We’ve been coming to this site for about a year and a half now we’ve travelled all over Great Britain in our campervan. I can honestly intruder say this is the best one. You stayed at a lot of good reason. Yes it’s not about this running though the big fancy clubhouse and Jim amusement arcade which is fine but the staff on the caravan site in reception and management and also steppingstone bar and restaurant are to Done always created when they turn up the big smile the site is spotlessly clean my daughter who’s got down syndrome just absolutely not coming here or she talks about the case is Claylands bingo you won’t find The Cleaner shower block washing up anywhere. Good luck for this season, From Kevin and Anne not forgetting Marie Marie O’Callaghan.
Thank you so much for your review, it means a great deal to us when you have a good time, we look forward to seeing you again in the future
We stayed in our campervan just over a week ago, and had everything we needed on the pitches which were close to the toilet and shower facilities. The shower and toilet facilities were excellent, very warm with music playing in the background. The restaurant had lovely food and we felt very welcomed. We had a lovely scenic walk into the near by village.
Thank you for your review, we are glad you had a great time and look forward to welcoming you back
It was a lovely stay, also they kept a secret that my mum and dad was coming up in their motorhome as well as changing plots and moving us around to fit us in next to each other because my mum wanted to surprise us all.. to say it was our first time at Claylands, it certainly will not be our last.. we enjoyed every minute the food was exceptional, toilets and shower block was immaculate and also the laundry/dishwashing room was clean also over all a well kept site & was an extra bonus waking up to the ducks, my children loved them. Will be recommending to everyone and will see you again soon
Thank you so much for your kind review and so glad you all had a special time together. We look forward to welcoming you back to the back in the future
Very clean and good walk for dogs to the river. The pitches are very narrow and not level, and a good walk to the showers/amenities. The staff were friendly and a pub/restaurant on site again a good walk away. It was a pain getting to the pitch as cars are double parked and trying to manoeuvre the caravan through them was a pain. But overall a nice site but a bit on the expensive side.
Thank you for taking the time to review the park , we note your comments which have been forwarded to the management team for them to look into these issues. We do hope you will consider staying with you again in the future
Lovely place lovely people just didn’t think you should pay extra for electric.
Thank you for your review, we note your comments regarding the electricity, we have added this to our booking information but sorry if you were not aware of this. We do hope you will visit us again in the future
