Very nice stay even with the cold weather warm and cosy in the bar Nice and relaxed
Excellent campsite with friendly, helpful staff. Toilets and showers were immaculate and always clean. Had a walk along the public footpath into Scorton village and back then called into the onsite bar/restaurant. Food was reasonably priced, can't comment further as we only had a drink and the setting by the river was lovely and scenic. Will definitely stay here again without hesitation. Massive thumbs up!
Cottage was very clean with everything we needed. The welcome pack was great too. We really enjoyed walking along the canal, walking up Nicky Nook and across the fields to Scorton. The Stepping Stones pub was very welcoming and the food was delicious. We have stayed at Claylands many times over the last 16 years including the cottages and the campsite. We enjoy returning!
Wasn’t happy to be kept awake with singing talking and fighting till 3am from a caravan near us when we complained we where told they where gypsies don’t think we will be going back
I would recommend claylands to anyone who wants an enjoyable relaxing break, clean facilities good food and drink the staff are courteous and lovely wildlife and local walks and the fishing ponds are stocked very well. Overall experience after 25 years of coming here with my children and now the grandchildren has always been excellent 5 ****
Staff and guests very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant and bar good choice on menu also cater for gluten free. Ideal for walks Nicky Nook or Cross country to Garstang.
We had a fantastic family reunion in one of the holiday cottages. The house was spacious, spotless and superbly located giving easy access to family members from north and south! The booking procedure was friendly and 'human', we were made very welcome from the start, the facilities were superb and we all had a fab time! The downstairs bedroom and shower room were great for the elderly grandparents and there was plenty of room for us all in the living spaces. We were there in winter so didn't make use of the fishing ponds or playpark but there were some lovely walks and, judging by the tourist information available, plenty to do in the area for all ages and tastes. There's a foodie pub on site which seemed very nice too, though we didn't have a chance to eat there with all our 'reunion-ing' going on!Yep, I can highly recommend the cottages here. Fantastic.
Love the sunsets I love how homely the cottage was The Menu was a bit empty but nice food
Recently spent a weekend at Claylands in our motorhome, what a great site. The site is a mix of statics , lodges and touring pitches, there are also a few self catering cottages . The site is very well kept, with small fishing lakes dotted around and a great dog walk area down by the riverside We were on a pitch very close to reception and facilities block. Facilities block was absolutely spotless, shower was very good, and block was lovely and warm There is a great bar/ restaurant on site too which was very busy while we were there, they had an artist on the Saturday night, bingo is a regular Friday event too. We had lunch there which was very nice and reasonably priced. All the staff we were met were very pleasant and efficient, a big thank you to everyone We will definitely return in the future
