Disappointing

Keenan, Caroline - 05/08/2022

The site charges £4 .50 for WiFi per day more if you have several appliances which in this era kids like their games ect I have never had any holiday pay for pool on site restaurant v basic as was entertainment. I found sweets and papers under the beds and the springs pinged all night v uncomfortable. Staff pleasant and did attend v quickly to boiler failure the site needs updating if it wants to charge these prices

Overall review

Dunne, Clare - 02/08/2022

Firstly the staff were all very nice and helpful. The amenities were very good the playground and the swimming pool we enjoyed. The overall cleanliness of our apartment was good some areas could be improved on like skirting boards in the bathroom and dirty marks on the doors and walls. Not enough to deter us from staying though. Our biggest problem was the cost, we paid over £660 for our stay and the weeks before we were due to arrive it had reduced in price by over £100. We were offer some free swim passes but didn’t equate to over £100. Overall we had a great 4 night stay and would go back

Golfers dream

Mooney, Sandra - 02/08/2022

A lovely quiet location but enough of a buzz to know you were on holiday. The facilities were immaculate & there was always someone out and about maintaining the facilities - they were also very helpful with recommendations and directions. It’s close to the beach and to the town which has nice shops, bars and restaurants. We tend to leave each day & as golfers we were in no short supply of fantastic places to play in the vicinity. Staff on site and in the local area were all more than friendly and helpful. Lots of site seeing to do and will be back to see what we didn’t get round to on this trip. Highly recommend this site for convenience. Shop & bar also a big plus.

Touring pitches

Murray, Wendy - 27/07/2022

With a young family I was not keen on the touring pitches being located on roundabouts. The park was busy with many cars using the roundabout so I didn’t feel it was the safest area for the kids to play. The rubbish bins for all tourers and statics were opposite our pitch. Unfortunately some users didn’t put rubbish in the bin or half in/out attracting seagulls and rubbish flying about the site. Staff did clean it up quickly but it was a recurring issue. Toilets and shower blocks were clean and warm. They were a bit further away from the touring pitches than we have experienced on other sites. It appears the roundabouts are used for tourers so there are more permanent static pitches available which obviously make more money.Play park was good, kids enjoyed it.Would recommend installing water hook ups at each touring pitch to save a walk to the communal tap.

1st impressions good

Byrne, Vallon - 19/07/2022

Restaurant food nice but no potatoes, Adam was lovely. Tiolets dirty.Apartment was clean, outside was full of cigarettes in drain. Apartment reeked of what smelt like cat urine, very strong lingering smell especially in bathroom. I reported it to a staff member and next morning to the cleaners, but they could not get rid of smell, I suggested they use a chemical as I have cats myself and smelled exactly like cat urine. The next day and other days of our stay the smell got stronger, my daughter has asthma and this was not good for her my toddler or any of the rest of us,we were not offered any other accommodation or a some money back. reported the smell was still there the night before we left. I think 10 am departure is a bit early, pool should definitely be included in price. We only got to use hot tub twice out of the 4 nights because of bad weather and the 10pm corfue. There should really be a shelter over hot tub&takes hours to heat up.No brochure on surrounding areas, beach nice

Fab location, needs refurbished and better cleaning

Malcolmson, Karen - 19/07/2022

My children aged 11, 9 and 2 had a fabulous time. We stayed for 4 nights in an apartment. It was basic and probably should have been refurbished years ago. One of the sofas was torn to shreds and covered in a small throw which couldn't hide the damage. The kitchen was well equipped but cupboard doors didn't close properly and a drawer fell out the first time I opened the one below. The kitchen appeared clean but cupboard handles and plugs and sockets were sticky. The children's bedroom smelt very damp and there was no bed made up for my younger child. There was a folded up camp bed with a stained mattress in the room but no bedding provided. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. There was urine and dust all over the outside of the toilet bowl and the floor below. The shower had limescale and dust around the edges and someone's stubble on the inside walls. The main bedroom had cobwebs in the wardrobe. I'd stay again if I could be sure of cleanliness.
