Downside were the facilities as they need a deep clean.staff at reception were friendly however the 2 young girls in the cafe gave me the impression they cldnt be bothered and looked down their noses.the pitch sizes were great and the castle ruin was amazing.had a great 5 days

The campsite is very good and clean, only thing I noticed is older toilets and showers could do with upgrading but are kept clean

Second visit. Why I love this site? Excellent value for money, great facilities, excellent value swimming pools. Shop and food also great value!

The outdoor pool could do with some maintenance , outside shower cold the one in hut had a broken head. The showers in the shower block nearest the pool had no pressure. They didn't stay on and were cold . The toilets were not cleaned in the day as they were the same marks in the toilets and sinks in the evening as in the morning . The chemical waste literally a board between that and the sinks was not a pleasant experience when someoneis emptyingtheir waste .The distance for non electric pitches to the amenities was far. The road onto the field was very rough. The shop looked uninviting the smell of the fat from the kitchen in the shop, pool table area and pool paying desk was awful . The staff sat around on their phones behind the counter, made you feel unwelcome

We went there twice in one year because we really enjoyed the site. Close enough to many attractions. The staff is lovely,

Absolutely love this and the Lairds inn but the park needs a substantial upgrade of the toilet and shower facilities i have to use disabled facilities and when using the disabled shower water was not draining away and the whole room ended up flooded , so as mentioned facilities are very dated but the park itself is awesome

The campsite itself is beautiful we have been coming every year for the past 3 years. This year however something was off. The service at the cafe was horrendous. Playing on their phones sat on the counter. No milk to make coffees. There was milk in the fridge. The breakfast has changed. The toilets on the campground were disgusting 90% of the time. The swimming pool was foul. Someone instead of going to the toilet decided to pee in the changing room on the floor. When I informed the staff, they just laughed about it. We did have some really good points. The park is fantastic for the kids, the food at the pub was absolutely amazing! I love waking up the the view of the castle!

The holiday park its self is a lovely setting, very friendly staff. The one thing that let our stay down was the cleanliness of the shower block and toilets, I would recommend a daily cleaner in these areas to which we would then rate the park 5 stars
