Carrick Dhu Holiday Park is located on the Causeway Coastal Route, the A2 Portrush to Portstewart Road running between these two popular seaside resorts. Situated just outside Portrush, visitors can enjoy the award-winning West Bay beach, at least two local restaurants and Ballyreagh Golf Course all within a kilometre's walk.
We have invested considerably in the provision of completely new touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes – while this has reduced the number available to 35, they are more spacious and with hard surfacing for vehicles / caravans, they offer better conditions in all weathers.
Some pitches are longer - pitches 14 to 18 - and more suitable for motorhomes. Artificial grass offers further comfort, and securing awnings will require metal pegs, which are to be inserted in the natural grass just at the edge of the artificial grass, and, if required for just next to a caravan, sandbags (supplied) for tying to.
Our on site facilities include 35 Touring caravan / motorhome hard-surfaced fully serviced pitches, modern family shower/laundry facilities with disabled access, and a safe and accessible children’s outdoor play area. Guests can also avail of our onsite Chip Shop, Coffee Shop, our Recreation/Table Tennis Hall and a helpful Visitor Information Centre.
The Atlantic Ocean is just across from the Park entrance with easy access to rock pools, and further coastal walks into both Portrush and Portstewart can be enjoyed along the spectacular Port Path (also known as the Ulster Way / Causeway Coast Way): alternatively, why not try cycling along the Sustrans off-road route, or relax on the regular scheduled bus service? All options start from just outside the Park.

Very clean and tidy park. Toilets/showers are spotless. Pitches are fully serviced making it so handy.
Your all weather pitches make it possible to extend your use of your awning beyond the summer months. You have a great pitching system installed with concealed hooks to attach your awning to. See you soon.
One of the best sites in Northern Ireland. Well kepylt and facilties are some of the cleanest and well kept
There is no personality or quirks here it’s an endless sea of statics and caravans and motorhomes. Easily the most boring campsite I have ever visited. The toilets in fairness were spotless but the showers you had to pay 50p more for. Particularly annoying as it had to be a 50p coin and no cashless option. I would not come back again. There’s plenty of campsites out there with some life and soul to them. Maybe it’s the area I don’t know but the 2 other sites we visited in NI were vastly superior.
Convenient service points - flat pitches - clean toilet and shower block - layout for car caravan and awning has not been thought out correctly especially regarding awnings and new tie down points installed recently have been put on the wrong side of the awning (nearest caravan instead of away from caravan)
The facilities were very clean, staff at reception were very helpful. Site was very clean
Always enjoy staying at Carrick Dhu but disappointed that the shower block standards have slipped, I would have thought that maintenance that was required from last year would have been done before the new season, still kept very clean and work force very friendly
Enjoyed our stay very much. Close to Tides Restaurant and the train station. One niggle is the showers. First one light wasn’t working (same in September). Second one ate my money but shower wouldn’t work. Third one spat my money out. Fourth one worked perfectly and the shower was great. It was a bit of a scunder moving my stuff 3 times and could be a problem at peak times.
Return visit to Carrick Dhu and wasn’t disappointed, facilities were immaculate, check in quick and the sun was shining! Bit of noise from the work being done on the touring sites however small issue. Bonus is having a very pleasant walk in to town along the coast.
Very easy to get to. All staff very friendly. We always find it very clean and tidy. As far as value is concerned we would love it to be cheaper but it is around the same price as other sites. Our family have been going to Portrush this 40 years and still love it with all it has to offer.
