We really enjoyed our stay and we even extended another evening as it was nice to be away. Lovely scenery and much to do.
This is an ideal stop over for us after travelling to and from Nottingham England to Dungloe Ireland.Easy to book and access site.Very enjoyable, facilities good and clean.Pitch level and with own elecs, water and waste.Thanks.
This is our 4th stay at this campsite and everyone enjoyed it. Easy entry to site, pitches are spacious and the site is tidy. Shower block was clean and well maintained. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed over the Halloween holidays and the kids loved the Halloween trail and the hidden scary characters were brilliant! The only downside was that the WiFi was very weak. We will definitely be back next year.
Would like to see halloween back the way it was. As on site fewer caravans and this will stop people coming to site at halloween. Council new to look at this again.
Great spot and superb location. Park ranger was attentive, site was clean, well maintained and obviously well managed. Only comment I would add is - should the site be available or accessible to working contractors who had made it a base with work vans/building materials etc? It is a Country Park location and should be maintained as such....
Have stayed here many times and always found it nice and friendly
Carnfunnock is about 20mins from where we live but we had the most amazing weekend with friends pottering around the huge site. There was loads for adults and children to do.Site was clean and tidy. The site was pretty full but it was very quiet.
I have only recently purchased my first touring caravan and chose Carnfunnock Country Park to break me in to the touring caravan experience. And what a great choice! Easy booking even for someone like me who isn’t the greatest on these tech methods. Helpful staff especially in the office. Great cafe with views and again very helpful and pleasant staff. Loved the fry- fried egg reminded me of the way my granny cooked them. Plenty for kids, but mine are grown. Enjoyed the walks and of course the Antrim coast!! I stayed in Carnfunnock for 6 nights and only dined out once in the Halfway House hotel. It was all right. My main reason for booking in September was as I expected- NO kids, that was until Friday and then bang . The peace and tranquillity was gone. It wasn’t too bad until the kid with his screeching brakes on the Saturday morning. “C’est la vie!”.Overall great break so thank you to Larne area Council, management and staff at Carnfunnock Country Park
Great location and lots to do around and about for adults and children. The amenities were clean and warm.My only quibble was that we had to book on line whilst we were waiting at the barrier. We were sent a code to get into the park but it did not work and when we phoned the number given for assistance there was no answer. Luckily another guest lent us their number/code to get through the barrier and into the toilet facilities.Other than that the park was quiet and restful.
Everything you could possibly want from a comfortable, peaceful break.
