All of the above
James and Jayne are always there to help or offer advice. Just a great peaceful site to stay.
James and Jayne (the owners) work extremely hard in running the site and put in long hours daily for the benefit of their customers. The site itself is clean with spacious pitches, electricity at 10amps is very useful and can cope with modern domestic appliances.the bar and bistro are good, particularly Jayne’s fish and chips on thursday evenings, also the provision of a communal bbq and get together on Friday evening. There is plenty to see and do in the local area and as such the site is useful for longer stays and not just nightly stopovers which are accommodated.
Although the campsite had suffered from a very dry summer when we arrived the ground was starting to green up nicely. Very pleasant stay, relaxing and peaceful.
Relaxing and enjoyable holiday very friendly and helpful owners. Ideal camping and caravan site in rural France.
We store our caravan there and usually visit twice a year. Everywhere is kept very clean and tidy with Jayne offering tasty meals to order in the bar area with 'specials' offered two or three times a week as well as a barbecue night. Generally most things are done by the two friendly owners with a little help with cleaning and site maintenance. A reasonably sized swimming pool is available for those who like to cool off or exercise in the water. Good food shopping is present nearby along with an old church and museum as well as a (ruined) chateau in the adjacent village as well as other places of interest in the neighbouring villages and small towns. All in all good value for money especially if you are a member of the ACSI organisation
Super large pitches across the site. We had a large pitch in a very quite corner of the site. Water and electric was available on the pitch. The site is quite and calming. The swimming pool is a decent size and the bar area is very welcoming with seating in and outside. Shower and toilets facilities were clean with plenty of hot water available. We also use the facility to store our caravan, making it easy for short term stays at Camping de Courte Vallee and it's ideally located in France to explore further a field in the future.James & Jayne were on hand to offer any advice and support if required.Looking forward to returning next year.
We had a lovely spacious pitch on this peaceful campsite. The bathroom facilities were alright but unfortunately the showers were cold. There was no one present when we arrived and it was not immediately clear where we should go. It would have been handy to provide us with the code for the gate in an email.
Thank you for your review. There is plenty of hot water, the showers are thermatically controlled and you have to turn the shower knob to get hot water. If you had come and told us you couldnt get hot water we could have explained to you how to use the showers. You booked online to which you would have received an automated confirmation. There are 4 attachments explaining our terms and conditions and information about the campsite. The gate code is included in this information.
A beautiful professional run site with excellent staff in all departments.Nothing is too much trouble.Well done Jayne and James and staff
Plenty of shade and sheltered from the wind. Good clean facilities and mainly friendly staff. Nice big, level pitch. Easy walk into the village which has a bakery, bars and a decent supermarket. Staff speak English (most seem to be native English speakers). I didn’t use the pool but it looked good and I don’t think they insist on ‘budgie smugglers’🤣. The bar looked good too, but I didn’t use that either. Why not 5 stars? I spoke to several people who worked there. All were helpful and friendly. The exception was at reception when I first arrived which was not particularly welcoming - it made me feel as though they didn’t really want me there. Also, and I realise this could be a positive for other people, it was too ‘English’ for me as most of the other people staying and most of the staff seemed to be English. Overall though, a well run campsite in a very good location.
