Benone Holiday and Leisure Park and its associated Visitor Centre is situated on the A2 Seacoast Road, approximately 11 miles from Coleraine and 12 miles from Limavady. Located adjacent to Benone Strand, uniquely accessible via board walks, Benone offers the visitor an enticing mix of a coastal location with the beautiful backdrop of Binevenagh Mountain.
Benone has received 4* status through the Graded Holiday Parks Scheme and provides family facilities, scenery and a warm welcome to rival any throughout Europe.
"Waves Bistro", sited just off one of the boardwalks, offers excellent food and beverages all day, including their "golfer's fry", home-made scones and ‘cooked to order’ meals. Enjoy dining inside in front of the log burner or outside on the patio.
The Visitor Centre stocks a range of local tourism literature and a variety of Morelli's ice-creams and beach accessories, and all facilities are available for both on-site campers and day-trippers.
On site, we have 80 touring pitches with electric, 33 of which are detailed as "super pitches". In addition to touring pitches, we have 6 glamping lodges
Visitors and holidaymakers have convenient access to the Benone Strand – Northern Ireland’s first recipient of the European Blue Flag Award. Our guests can also make use of a 9 hole par 3 golf course, our local Visitor Information Centre, a putting green and a crazy golf course.
Seasonal facilities at Benone include our tennis courts, activities area, indoor games room and our outdoor heated splash pools (bookable for two-hour sessions during weekends in June and daily during July and August).

We stay at Benone at least once or twice a year due to its location, proximity to the beach and train from Castlerock up to Derry / Londonderry. It never ceases to amaze me in the 20+ years we have been visiting this site the total lack of investment in the site facilities. Changing steel toilet bowls to porcelain really isn't investment. The men's showers are appalling. Tepid at best and the shower I had at 0730 last Sunday was barely trickling out of the head. The toilet facilities are not cleaned adequately with the volume of families, on a fully booked site, on a bank holiday, require more than a cursory run around with a mop twice a day. Private sites would have staff checking and cleaning toilets at least 3 /4 times over a 24hr period. There is no wi-fi on site which even 2/3 star sites are now offering. The council are keen to take what is a premium rate for staying at Benone but are simply not re-investing this. How long will Benone continue to get away with this ?
We had a wonderful stay in benone holiday park, the weather was perfect which helped. Sadly the WiFi doesn't reach the caravans, it can only be used in the complex, and an upgrade off the play park in the caravan site itself could be improved on, but it's really a wonderful spot. A real suntrap. No smell from the toilet blocks which can sometimes happen in sites such as this. Cafe on site is amazing! And my kids loved the mini golf. Can't wait to go back
We visited for the first time and we absolutely loved it. so handy to the beach, campsite is well maintained and clean. several parks and a brilliant cafe to hand. looking forward to visiting in the summer ☀️
The park was clean and tidy, but the rules don't seem to matter , dogs runing of lead and don't see the point in having to pay a deposit for a key for the toilet when any time you when the door was open .that bad came home a day early. not up to the same standards of the rest of the council run sites on the north coast .
I like this site because it has good sized serviced pitches , most of which are dead level . I noticed that they have converted some of the older pitches to fully serviced which suits modern vans better. I love that it’s so handy to the beautiful benone strand with walks through the sand dunes . The trees also provide shelter from the sea breeze.Lovely wee cafe , I haven’t tried the golf course yet but it looks in lovely condition Good toilet facilities , two blocks which is handy at cleaning times , there always one open .I noticed near our pitch that there is a small sign regarding capped services for future development. I think this would be a good idea as the site gets very busy and could cope with and benefit from expanding the number of pitches Back again next month, see you all again soon
I found the site very clean & tidy. The toilets were always kept clean, a tall order given the site was full. Being full to capacity & everyone with awnings up there was a shortage of parking & everything was very close & tight as seen in the pic. Good site all in all apart from the fact if you haven’t booked a site with a water tap it is a real challenge to find a tap to top up your tank. This would certainly put me off staying for longer periods.
Great site. Kept clean. Friendly staff. Good location to beach! Toilet and shower block could be doing with being updated.
A beautiful location and could be a five star site on location but unfortunately the toilet block facilities which are dated and haven’t changed a lot in the past 25 to 30 years let the site down badly. Definitely do not compare with facilities offered on many other touring sites. Couldn’t create much of an impression to foreign tourists visiting an outstanding area of beauty in NI.
