Booking holiday was easy excellent value. Staff frendly and helpful, shop had a excellent selection reasonable prices. Cottage spotless tea coffee, towels etc in cottage, Hot tub was a bonus, and checked every day Luna (dog) enjoyed the enclosed yard, also plenty walks around the site and beach. Can't comment on complex or restaurant as didn't visit. Plenty do and see around the Galloway area, can get the Stranraer bus just outside park to Newtown Stewart etc, or go other way to Castle Douglas, DumfriesIf looking for a relaxing holiday would recommend Auchenlarie Holiday Park.

Farmhouse was ideal for our family break away. Spacious, spotless and very close to caravan site to use the favourites there when we wanted. Would definitely consider for future holidays with the children and grandchildren

We stayed at Auchenlarie in one of the cottages , cottage number 5 , which is located across from the main site. This was excellent for us , as we could easily access all the site’s amenities, but whilst in the cottage it was lovely and peaceful and quiet. Everyone is always very efficient and friendly when we stay at Auchenlarie and this holiday was no exception. We found the cottage was really lovely. Very clean and bright. Everything we could need was provided. And we really enjoyed staying there.However, if I have one criticism it is..the cottage had two matching sofas in the living area. Both of them was very very low to the floor. Also the upholstery was very flat, so really it felt very hard and uncomfortable to sit on. By the end of the week, we both had very sore and aching backs , this did affect our sleep and our energy. which was a shame because everything else was good. Whilst we would consider staying here again it would definitely not be in cottage 5 .

The only thing I suggested and have done many times to staff in the office G08 dog caravan would really benefit from a gate putting on the entrance to the hot tub so the dogs can come out outside with you, That is the only fault I have ever found in all the many years I have been going to Auchenlarie.

Stayed on this campsite many times over the last 20 years. Very clean site with excellent view. Beautiful clean caravan, as always. Stayed extra 3days as love it there.

Site is excellent in a beautiful area but due to the lack of disable friendly caravans even though when booking we were informed the caravan was.

We enjoyed our holiday but it could have been better The pool was lovely but quite cold snd the kids kept touching the hot hosepipe that was hot Meals were lovely Entertainment was in sports bar not sure if it could have been better in the entertainment room Amusements we’re closed part of one of our days On the plus side our leak was fixed right away Staff were lovely and on the whole we enjoyed our stay

The accomodation -luxury caravan- was excellent, clean and warm and the hot tub was fantastic. However this year we were let down by a lack of activities for the kids and the pool also being closed during our visit. We booked to use the pool during our visit only to arrive to notices stating it was not open- no email to let us know. This meant we had to leave the park and travel to a local pool to avoid disappointing my 7 year old nephew. There was a distinct lack of activities compared to our visit at the same time last year. I had also booked a table for Saturday evening at Tide and Table the week before our arrival. We arrived to be told that they didn't have our booking and that "the boat" was not being used for dining. The poor waitress was left red faced and looked overwhelmed trying to find somewhere to seat 6 of us. We opted to just have a takeaway- which turned out to be for the best as there was a singer in the restaurant who was not great. Will we be back? Unsure

Beautiful location and scenery. The toilets were nice and clean. The only thing we felt was the motorhome spaces aren't very wide. We were stepping out to mucky grass which isn't ideal. The spaces could do with being wider. The bar was typical of a site but do they really need 6 large tvs all to be showing sport? 1 or 2 could have had a music channel or something. The fri night bar was busy and didn't see anyone actually watching a TV. My husband asked if they could put some music on even background the bar staff said there was none. Not everyone likes sport. I am aware there's another area but was closed when we visited. Some music would have gave bar bit of an atmosphere

it was -3 toilet heating not ON. NO access to disabled toilet if your in a wheelchair or scooter. The place is on the side of a cliff
