It's not the first time we've stopped here and won't be the last. Easy to get to, good information passed in advance and the pod was all ready and good to go for us once arrived. For a change, we tried the breakfast at the bistro... Can't fault it... Black pudding cooked to perfection !The only thing of note is that we struggled to find somewhere to dump our rubbish and recyclables... Didn't seem too clear or well signposted.
Great site, we stayed in our tourer for 3 nights, Easy access great location, and a lovely bistro/bar, food was lovely and staff very friendly,we liked it so much that we’re back this weekend.
Excellent camp site with good facilities. We will definitely return.
I was there during school mid term so it was busy. Toilets showere reasonably clean with a couple of cubicle doir lock broken. The bistro / bar was good and the food good and averagely priced. Nice surroundings and reception good , site map and gate code were given on arrival. I was campi g so cannot comment on fixed caravans etc.The site is large and there are two fields allocated for tent I enjoyed my stay.Regards,Alistair Douglas.
Great if you want a clubbing weekend with music going on into the early hours, people driving to the toilet if uts raing and torches shining in your tent all hours. Oh forgot the need for people to use car horns too.
Beautiful campsite is a beautiful location. Excellent amenities. Loads to do in walking distance had an amazing time as always, not my first time and definitely won't be my last x
amazing food, space for kids to play we love it
This is a great campsite in a gorgeous location very close to locall attractions and amenities. Access, booking, checking in, information and staff were all spot on, nice and easy with a friendly welcome. We stayed in a pod which was as described and was lovely and clean and well situated on site. Toilets and showers were never far away from any pitch. The cleanliness of the showers and toilet blocks really needed to be kept more on top of as there was really dirty floors at nearly every time of day. It felt like toilets and showers really needed investment and a tighter cleaning schedule to make the stay 5 star.
Fantastic place to stay, definitely worth a visit 👍
We love Abbey Farm and have had many happy holidays there over the years either camping, in the pods or this year, some of our family stayed in one of the cottages. We have always had a small camp fire whilst camping which is part of the experience for us and never had any issues over the years. Unfortunately, on our most recent trip, there was a patrol going around the camp who informed us campfires were not allowed. We explained that the Solo Stove fire pit we had was raised off the floor and left zero mess but they told us it was an insurance issue and only barbecues were allowed! The wardens were lovely and understanding and just doing their jobs. We have no problem if this is the camps policy but it will be the deal breaker for future camping visits I'm afraid and seeing how visibly quiet it was there compared to other years I don't think I'm the only one. The camp and its staff are great and I'd 100% recommend it for anyone not bothered about a campfire.
