We have been coming to Abbeyfarm for approximately 9 years, we have stayed in most of the pods, the mega pods and Deluxe pods. We have also camped here . We love the Brook and the hills surrounding the farm. The Abbey itself is a beautiful backdrop from the pod field and camping field. It's a lovely walk into llangollen along the canal, starting from horseshoe falls. Very picturesque. The on site Bar and Bistro is lovely with amazing food.The only reason I have given a 3☆ review for our stay is the Deluxe pods are looking a bit tired now. The wooden flooring needs replacing, the cupboards need replacing, the sink in the shower room we stayed in was blocked . The springs on the mattress on the bed where coming through. The sofa/bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable to sit on and the water wasn't very hot when showering . Hooks would be advisable for hanging coats or clothes on and a full length mirror could be fitted to the outside of the shower room door.

Original pitch we booked was a swamp. Good job could move to another pitch (luckily though I believe) . I would expect for the price to be on a good stayable pitch. Although where we were moved to was still bad just less swampy. Brand new awning is filthy with mud now.

This is a gorgeous place to go I fell in love with if.. The next time I would get a deluxe pod as I had the family and was to much hard work with the kids and toilets etc but apart from that I loved it. Definitely be coming back. Thank you for having us. Staff in bistro were lovely give my daughter a new milkshake after she spilt hers.

We visited abbey farm with our two young children and stayed in a deluxe pod whilst some friends stayed in one of the cottages. The pod was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. The site had a lovely bar/restaurant and a shop should we need anything and was just a lovely short walk away from Llangollen.We are already looking at hiring one of the larger houses for a stay next year.

Perfect place for a family holiday - spacious, clean, friendly, well equipped with the added bonus of a hot tub and games room. Beautiful location with plenty of great walks and scenery. Just absolutely loved it and can’t wait to return. Thank you.

We loved the site and location, the open space was great and my boys loved the stream and milkshake! However I have never seen as much mud on a pitch before! We actually got stuck in a ditch reversing onto the pitch and the grass either side was so water logged it was a good foot deep. The hardstanding pitches are not well looked after as they were so muddy and overgrown with grass. The toilets and showers were ok. The poor people in the tents next door were in a mud bath and had to cut their holiday short. I’m sure the site is nice in summer but we won’t be returning unfortunately, which I am gutted about as it could be great!

The pod we had was so nice, right on the river. It was so relaxing and peaceful sitting outside on the deck listening to the water and the birds. The walks around the campsite were great for us and the kids loved just playing by the river.

We have stayed in pods, cottages, campsite for 14 years. It's our go to place. Highly recommend. ☺️

unfortunately because of the weather the fields were a bit boggy but they gave us space in the car park to pitch upon (we were in a campervan)my little girl wasn't phased by this at all, we visited Llangollen town and the abbey restaurant both were really nice, just a shame this place doesn't have a park for the kids to play in.
