A place to relax and unwind in a tranquil woodland setting. A small shop providing some necessities and lovely gifts. Owners keep the park clean and tidy and the facilities are spotless. Close to towns should you wish to indulge and plenty of local walking.

Enjoyed our visit to Wood Nook despite atrocious weather conditions upon arrival. We were welcomed with the site owner helping as much as possible to meet our needs. We were welcomed with the site owner helping as much as possible to meet our needs. A very pleasant site with lovely views across the dale, access may be difficult for large motorhomes or caravans due to narrow single track road to site but plenty of room once site is reached. Lovely camping field when pitching in more reasonable weather but this was end of October and challenging. Motorhome facilites excellent. Good area for both walking and cycling from campsite. Hope to return next season Jo & Bob

We visited for 5 days during a very rainy and muddy half term, despite this we still had a great time. Grassington and Threshfield (with a Spar and Pub) are in walking distance, and there are also loads of well signposted walks straight from the site and the roads leading up to it. We walked over the hills at the back of the site, half way to Malham (then turned back due to little legs!) and the little dog walk on site is a nice way to wake up. Grassington is lovely for a potter round the shops and a pub lunch and we went to Stump Cross Caverns which the children loved. Staff made us feel very welcome, really friendly, facilities cleaned regularly and they have a nice little gift shop which amongst other things sells chocolate brownies! Things to be aware of; a public right of way runs through the site, so although we never felt insecure its one to be aware of if letting little children out to play on site. On the days it didn't rain there seemed to be a few midges around. Electric supply is only 10amp so you can't run caravan electric heating with fridge and then an item like an electric kettle at the same time- we resolved by running heating on gas!

I really only have one fault and that is the 10amp electric supply. We could not run a heater in the awning or boil the kettle because it would just trip out. The staff are super friendly and definitely down to earth. Just what you need right now! They also make... I really only have one fault and that is the 10amp electric supply. They also make amazing chocolate brownies. All the facilities are spotlessly clean all day long. The site is perfect for walking and even the dog walking area is pleasant change from the usual open field most sites have.

Due to coronavirus restrictions we were a bit limited about where we could go as we were in an area of lowest restrictions. We had both been to the Yorkshire Dales before but to different areas. Grassington and the surrounding countryside is fantastic. Wood Nook farm Campsite is tucked away from the crowds and next to stunning walks etc. We had a fantastic weekend despite the rain!!
