The setting was lovely with views of the dales and hills on 3 sides. The facilities were excellent (though a few private cubicles with basins would be just perfect). It was well situated for walking, be it hill or low level walking. We are already planning our return.

"Lovely capsite."

Mrs L Kettlewell - Stayed with friends, Sep 2018

This was the 3rd time I have stayed at this campsite and each time the facilities have got better. It is really well maintained, the Toilets and showers are really clean, the owners are always available and very helpful. We will be returning.

We loved our 2 day stay, the pitches are large and therefore don’t make you feel crammed in and having a bench on was a great addition. We loved the showers, not a fan of the press button types so being able to have continuous water was really good, the dry area was great too, no wet boots or socks for once. We missed an on-site freezer and thought the pot wash area was a tad small, if the camp was busy we could see a queue forming, those are small things though and certainly did distract from a great stay. The pub in Austwick served a lovely Sunday dinner and we found the walks really good. All in all it was a lovely weekend and we’ll return, we have friends who camp too and we’ll be recommending the site to them.

Great pitch to keep out of the wind as was needed. Couldn't find where to put freezer blocks to refreeze . Believe was on discription of the site . Great situation.

We choose the site due to the fact we were given good space between pitches and electric hook up. The family that run the site is friendly and welcoming. Loved the fact the offered fire pits and fuel on an evening. The toilets and shower were immaculately clean. Would like to see development of the washing up area as two sinks can be busy at times.

Showers and toilets new and were very clean. 50p for shower was reasonable. Campsite in walking distance of 2 villages and a short drive from caves, peaks, waterfalls and the coast. Overall a fantastic stay and would return. We loved the free range chickens around our tents too.
