The site is in a good location for visiting Scarborough which has some lovely beaches and a fabulous park and outdoor swimming pool. The site itself is spacious with a small shop for essentials - however as there is a Sainsburys very near running out of things is not an issue. The main reason for the lack of stars is the toilet/shower facilities which are clean but very basic and in need of an update. Used water in the showers run through the floor of each cubicle so the used water from the next cubicle ends up around your feet. The showers (20p) for about 5 minutes are on a push button system which is frustrating when it turns off every few seconds particularly when you are rinsing hair. The heating in the shower block is totally inadequate. The electricity is on a paid card meter which you need to keep an eye on as it can only be topped up at the shop during the restricted opening hours. The bar is only open Thurs to Sun in the summer (evenings only) and Fri to Sun in the winter (again evenings only). Food is available 7 to 9 on opening nights and whilst basic is value for money.

Not told onsite facilities would be closed most of our stay. We booked for the on site facilities. Wanted to use the bar and restaurant only able to use first nights stay. Only limited menu although food was good. Toilets smelt all the time. Think septic tank needed emptying. Shower/toilets were freezing cold. Would not return when site is busy due to not being enough toilets and showers if site were busier. Dread to think if site was full. Also think site would be dangerous for children playing near caravan pitches as too secluded from the site road. Site appeared clean. Staff helpful. site should also list extras which need paying for as this bumps up the price. Definitely need to install an electric top up card machine outside the office as this is a necessity.

Lovely site, good facilities and welcoming clubhouse, for two legged guests and four legged guests!!! Peaceful location, but close enough to Scarborough sea front. Only slightly negative comment is the turnings into the roadways on site can be a little tight when towing. Pitch sizes are fine however, and the pitchside water and drainage are a real bonus.
