Tregroes Caravan, Camping & Glamping Park

17 Reviews

Park Description

Tregroes Touring And Camping Site is a small, family friendly site, situated in the tranquil Pembrokeshire countryrside just outside the coastal town of Fishguard and close to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

Our site caters for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes with roughly 30 pitches available and basic facilities which include toilets, showers, a washing up area, charging facilities and a chemical disposal point. Guests are welcome to light up the barbie after a long days sight seeing, however if you fancy a night off, Fishguard has a wide variety of eateries to satisfy hungry tummies and is only a 20 minute walk away.

Dogs are more than welcome here at Tregroes and are sure to love the bountiful walking opportunities that surround the campsite including the 186 mile stretch of the coastal path, where guests are advised to keep their eyes open for the dolphins, seals and seabirds which can be seen along the way. Cycling, hiking, fishing, horse riding and golfing are all available in the nearby areas too as well as a variety of water sports activities including surfing, sailing, kayaking and diving!

If you're a history fan, you've definitely come to the right place! There are an abundance of beautiful historic sites and castles in this part of Wales including the 12th century abbey in the coastal town of St Dogmaels and the Pen-Rhiw burial chambers at Goodwick. The Garn Wen burial chamber in Fishguard, the cathedral at St Davids and the stone circles of the Preseli Hills are also well worth a look!

Here at Tregroes Touring and Camping Site, we also offer glamping for those who fancy a more luxurious camping experience.

There was nothing we disliked, except the weather:) We would highly recommend it, and certainly hope to be going there again.

We were a little nervous to camp in Wales at the end of October … but we needn't have worried. The yurt was completely warm, dry, and comfortable. We didn't know the area very well and the site owners were generous in their helpfulness and attentiveness, answering every question we had. We spent our days walking along the coastal path and the location of the campsite was perfect for this: we could go east to Dinas Island, Newport Sands, and the like ... south to St. David's, west to Strumble Head, etc. Our 14 year old was very impressed with the provision of wi-fi, toffee waffles, and marshmallows! We love camping all over Britain but this trip was particularly restful and idyllic. We would definitely return and have already recommended Tregroes to our friends.

"A lovely spot."

The indoor/ outdoor kitchen was great fun , thinking it would be fun to have my own. I drove 11 hours each way and had a fab weekend , however i dont think i 'd make the drive at peak season.

It was dark and there was no way of knowing where to pitch , although we had notified you on booking that we would be arriving on the late ferry. We remained on the roadway ,wandering around trying to find electric points, in pouring rain. We slept in an uneven van ,no idea where electrics etc were and left early next day without seeing any staff. So cannot answer any of your questions except to say we will never use it again or recommend it .

We had booked a 3 night stay with family and friends, we were able to pitch up together with plenty of room also between tents . The couple who own the site are very friendly and very welcoming. We've been camping here for 5 years and since the new owners have arrived the amenities have improved 100% everything is clean and tidy and all you need for camping is there. It's also a lovely quiet, peaceful area to camp. We will return next summer 👍

Having had a bad experience the night before we were looking urgently for a new site. Tregroes were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Will certainly use them again next time in Wales, thank you for a pleasant stay.
