Tregroes Caravan, Camping & Glamping Park

54 Reviews

Park Description

Tregroes Touring And Camping Site is a small, family friendly site, situated in the tranquil Pembrokeshire countryrside just outside the coastal town of Fishguard and close to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

Our site caters for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes with roughly 30 pitches available and basic facilities which include toilets, showers, a washing up area, charging facilities and a chemical disposal point. Guests are welcome to light up the barbie after a long days sight seeing, however if you fancy a night off, Fishguard has a wide variety of eateries to satisfy hungry tummies and is only a 20 minute walk away.

Dogs are more than welcome here at Tregroes and are sure to love the bountiful walking opportunities that surround the campsite including the 186 mile stretch of the coastal path, where guests are advised to keep their eyes open for the dolphins, seals and seabirds which can be seen along the way. Cycling, hiking, fishing, horse riding and golfing are all available in the nearby areas too as well as a variety of water sports activities including surfing, sailing, kayaking and diving!

If you're a history fan, you've definitely come to the right place! There are an abundance of beautiful historic sites and castles in this part of Wales including the 12th century abbey in the coastal town of St Dogmaels and the Pen-Rhiw burial chambers at Goodwick. The Garn Wen burial chamber in Fishguard, the cathedral at St Davids and the stone circles of the Preseli Hills are also well worth a look!

Here at Tregroes Touring and Camping Site, we also offer glamping for those who fancy a more luxurious camping experience.

"Yurt"

Anonymous - Stayed with family, Aug 2019

Stayed in a yurt for the week. Very happy with the yurt and the facilities. Nice touches such as washing up liquid, marshmallows (for the fire) etc provided. Only thing missing was a washing line for beach towels etc. Have already recommended to friends 😀

"Observations on our visit"

Anonymous - Stayed with friends, Aug 2019

Good site, would return if in area, which is itself a wonderful place to visit. Well sited pitches with good electric and water supply there. The facilities are good, but why aren't locks on shower and toilet cubicles repaired!! And more shelf space around basins.

Site is well maintained and looks nice. View from yurt kitchen area was fantastic looking out across the fields over to Fishguard. Surrounding area is great. We had a great stay and would most definitely stay again in the future

Having stayed at Tregroes over many years, even before current owners took over, I have to say it’s improving year on year. Colin & Sam are working tirelessly to improve the site & it’s facilities & its almost unrecognisable now, to what it was before they took over two years ago. We’ve even got music in the toilets & showers now.! Only thing I would say is the showers themselves could be a little bit better, more power shower type of thing...but I’m sure that’s already in their plans somewhere along the lines. Lovely friendly, relaxing & welcoming campsite. Will see you again next year...as usual..!!

We stayed in one of the yurts, seren, and were very smug that we had the “best” yurt - it was the most private and had a huge garden, not overlooked at all. Not to say the other yurts aren’t as good, they are all lovely, but we really appreciated the extra space and privacy. The yurt itself is fab, clean, much more spacious than expected and beautifully decorated. The beds were clean and comfy, and it was set up with everything we needed. There is a kitchen shack attached with fridge, microwave, kettle and hob plus all the bits and pieces you need to cook. There is plenty of seating outside, including two hammocks. Fires are not only allowed but actively encouraged - it was great to go on a night time trip to the (very clean and well stocked) bathrooms and see everyone sitting round their fires. We got the wood burner in the yurt going too. Made it a bit hot to be honest, so had to have the door open too, but hey ho. And one of the best things about a lovely site was how genuine dog friendly it is. Well behaved dogs don’t need to be tethered at all times which made it much more fun for our very well behaved terrier. Fishguard is only 5 minutes away in the car, and there are plenty of beaches and walks nearby. The lovely camp owners were on hand to recommend (and loan maps). The beach at Newport, and golden lion pub, were excellent. We had a wonderful holiday, I would really recommend it.

The showers/toilets were very clean. Spacious shower rooms with chair and plenty of pegs very useful when showering with children. Close to Fishguard for cafes/supermarkets. And an excellent location for exploring the whole of Pembrokeshire. All in all we loved it! Will definitely return!
