"Friendly staff, great site and amazing food"

Anonymous - Stayed with partner, Dec 2020

The campsite is very well maintained and facilities are of a high standard. Food in the Eatery and Bar is amazing quality. Plenty to do in the local area, we will certainly be returning.

"Great location for the Forest of Dean"

Ms S Burgess - Stayed with partner, Dec 2020

Can’t fault this lovely campsite. Friendly and helpful staff, great little bar/restaurant/takeaway and spotless, well maintained facilities. We are regular visitors to the area and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

My husband & I wanted a site in the Forest of Dean for our campervan for the last 2 nights before lockdown. It turned out that we were the only campers there! The toilet, shower & washing up facilities were all very good and the couple running the campsite were very friendly & helpful. We ate in their cafe one evening and even though we were the only diners, they made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The location of the campsite is very good for walking & cycling in the Forest of Dean. We would return there in the future if we are visiting the area.

Washing up had been done by previous tenant and everything was wet in cupboard do not nice to find like that. Not the farm I expected though, just a couple of goats. Got very muddy at end of week and few motor homes had to be pulled out of the mud. Easy access to nice places but next time so will stay in the Forest which is beautiful.

"Lovely clean site with good facilities and fantastic glamping. cafe onsite as well"

The facilities were purpose built so before covid they were lovely and warm and dry. AT the moment they have left the doors open for good reason so it might be a bit bracing in the winter. Washing up area is well supplied with hot water and enough sinks for 6 people. There is a laundry available. We have camped here and stayed in the glamping shelter. The "couples" ark comes with a bed and enough facilities to make it a luxury camping experience. My only criticism of the glamping is that the wifi did not make it into the ark. If like me you need wifi, then call to make sure you get one with coverage. Cooking facilities were fine, although to be honest, we decided that when the cafe on site is soo good, why would you cook? Breakfast excellent and Sunday Roast even better, popular with the locals too so ask about it and book when you arrive. Ideally located if you want to go and see the Severn Bore at Minsterworth or Newnham.

Has its own restaurant which does a lovely sunday dinner. We arrived on a steak night, which was served with their own style of authenticity...brilliant! The site hires out burners which was a bonus. Theres also a shop for very basic needs, but only a fifteen minute walk to Drybrook village store. Woods are just a five minute walk away, with other activities within a short drive. We will be paying them another visit in the future.
