"Potential but an untidy site with many advertised facilities closed"

Old metal gates dumped and bits of old unused water sports kit left in shrubbery. The site felt very neglected. We picked the site because it had a cafe selling pizza’s, ice-creams, etc. only to find this was closed and only open on Friday-Sunday (catering largely for their day visitors I assume) which meant we were left in an overcrowded pitch (neighbours dog constantly wandering over ours and I witnessed another dog taking a wee on someone else’s awning!) without the facilities we booked for. It is a shame because the lake is beautiful, the staff were friendly and the setting is ideal. There seems to be an attempt to improve with the new lodges, etc. but dramatic changes need to occur before this becomes an attractive place to return to.

"Staff couldn’t be more helpful"

We arrived during hurricane Francis and the staff very kindly gave us the keys to a chalet so we didn’t have to pitch our tent in the high winds. We pitched the next day and had a brilliant time on the lake and playing rounders in the camping field. Everyone was friendly and respectful and we would have loved to stay longer. The site had taken adequate measures for protection against Covid-19. We’ll be back next year, I’m sure. Tewkesbury is a fantastic town and worth exploring.

Mr B Humphries - Stayed with friends, Sep 2020

I know we came just after a festival but the dog walking area still had sections of fencing open directly onto road

"Bredon Cider Garden"

Wash rooms well maintained and serviced, very creditable given very high numbers using them. The supposed waterside cafe bar was a let down, dark and tired with no working coffee machine when we visited....the big negative was, despite being given a sheet of paper on arrival with the site rules that asked visitors to keep noise down after 11.30pm was the noise made by some of the campers until 1.30am first night and well after 2am on the second. Shouting, obscenities and loud music and singing. No attempt by camp site staff to do anything about it. The main offenders near us were very vocal in being regular visitors and users of the site. The Bredon Cider Festival itself was well organised and finished in good time for the 11.30pm quiet period to be respected .....just a pity a handful spoiled it for the majority.
