"Superb site on the edge of the Cotswolds"

Mr D Booth - Stayed with partner, Jul 2018

We love Croft. Only our second visit, but certainly not the last. Dry friendly and helpful staff, large level pitches, lots of on site activities to either watch or join, a good restaurant and a lovely walk round the lake to finish the day. Dry friendly and helpful staff, large level pitches, lots of on site activities to either watch or join, a good restaurant and a lovely walk round the lake to finish the day. Lots of interesting places to visit nearby, and supermarkets within easy reach. Only one criticism. There are nowhere near enough bins, and it is awful to see rubbish piled up on the floor, some of which appeared to have been ripped open, possibly by a fox. Hence the ** for cleanliness. Otherwise an outstanding site. And clearly continually improving. We'll be back!

Play park needed for the the older children. Map shows park behind reception, but definitely not one there.

We arrived on a very busy Saturday which Alex kindly warned us about. At first I was worried it was going to be too busy and the small toilet block on the non electric camping field would not be adequate for all the people, however it was all great. The watersports staff were very efficient and made the hiring of our canoe a very pleasant experience. Everyone abided by the rules and so overall it was a very relaxing experience.

Children’s play area was too small and there wasn’t many seating areas available near the main water facilities. There wasn’t many areas that we could sit and relax in the shade so we left early as couldn’t relax in the tent, weather was too hot. Green area next to restaurant was too small / cramped due to nice weather, less parking more seated area. I wouldn’t camp here again however would visit for the day.

"Don't get what you booked"

We booked and paid for 2 pitches together so we could be close together and enjoy a long weekend together. But when we arrived, we were greeted to a screaming child in a push chair and the lady behind the desk said we have already checked-in, not sure how she worked that out when we just arrived asking to check-in. After checking-in, we were directed to what I can only describe as the overflow field (not the pitches we booked!!!) and paid for but end up getting a field, value for money I think not!! Then on the Sat night, the nice lady who runs the Husky Dogs on the Sunday morning came over to the field and asked if we could keep our dogs in the Van while she does the Campsites Husky rides in the morning!!!!!! So not only did we not get the pitches we booked, we then got told we had to keep our dogs inside the van by the woman who doesn't work at the campsite (she didn't have campsite uniform)....!!!! Lets just say we won't be going back to the site or recommending this site to anyone

Got charged to check in early, checked in and beds were not made up as requested and paid For. So paid £15 for bedding and early check in when I couldn’t sleep anyway because beds had not been made up. I should have been refunded the £15 really as it wasn’t available as agreed and paid for. I spent between £80-150 on hiring equipment for the children to use on lakes, the prices are really high. Not sure I would return knowing it costs a fortune to keep kids entertained. Prices need lowering. However kids loved it. Toilets could do with cleaning more often.

"Weekend meeting friends"

Lovely weekend, definitely going back. Only thing that I would like to improve would be mop in the showers and better flushing in the toilets (not good at all)
