Broadleigh Farm Park

66 Reviews

Park Description

We welcome touring caravans and motorhomes, and most pitches provide a 16amp Electric Hook-up. All are grass pitches. The site is broadly split into two large fields, with traditional Devon hedgerows forming further breaks on these fields. The service block is centrally located, with easy access for all. We are able to provide pitches for both small and large tents, with or without Electric Hook-up. All are grass pitches.

There are also cold water taps on site close to the pitches. Broadleigh Farm has two wash rooms specifically designed for people with limited mobility. The access to these rooms is flat and level, and the washrooms have a toilet, shower and sink to use.

Opening Dates

The park is open annually from mid March until the end of October

"My holiday at Broadleigh Farm"

The park is in ideal location to travel to Paignton, Totnes and surrounding areas. I think the site would benefit from level pitches allocated to caravans and pitches on slopes to camper vans and tents. We had issue with extremely high sloping pitch, caravan on blocks... The park is in ideal location to travel to Paignton, Totnes and surrounding areas. I think the site would benefit from level pitches allocated to caravans and pitches on slopes to camper vans and tents. We had issue with extremely high sloping pitch, caravan on blocks and general feeling of un safe. There is a need for a park, adventure playground to cater for families with both young and older children.

There are also a couple of village pubs.

"Lovely place, pity about the lack of welcome!"

When we arrived about 4:30 there was no one in reception, but we found a board with names and pitches on, and instructions to call a number to check in before going to the pitch. There was also another name with the same pitch number as ours. We called several times but couldn't get an answer so left messages and decided to go on round and set up. The electric at the pitch was off so we tried to call again. 7 phone calls and over an hour later we still had not received a call back, but the electric had been turned on, so we had no idea if our messages had been received or if it was on automatically! The next day we noticed someone in reception so went in to let them know we were there. The guy I spoke to was very friendly and he assured me we had been checked in. A call back the day before to confirm would have been nice, especially given the confusion around the pitch numbers, we worried all evening that someone else was going to turn up wanting our pitch! Other than that, the site was lovely, the facilities were basic but clean, and it is a good location.

On arrival lady at reception was very helpful, as we had booked a pitched with no electric as there was no space the lady managed to find us a pitch with electric but we would have to move three times On arrival at our first pitch was like on a moorland my 9 mtr Motorhome really struggled , after trying to level the Motorhome found it totally impossible then after looking on our 2 other pitches we found they were worse, I think the owners should segregate the site as this area of the site is totally useless for motor homes and caravans . We did stay the night but due to people smoking drugs and the noise from campers to all hours it’s not recommended for a peaceful time. Hence the reason we left after one night. So if you got a Motorhome caravan and don’t like the smell of drugs don’t go.

We have stayed at Broadleigh Farm Park several times, we always come back for views and most importantly the peace and quiet. We always book outside of the school holidays and avoiding weekends if possible as we don't like a lot of children around, so far we have not had any problems and we don't really anticipate them on this site.
