I understand you don't control the weather, but the state of your campervan field left a lot to be desired. We were on pitch 10, and the state of the ground was such that we were afraid to move our camper in case we couldn't get it back on to our pitch. So this severely limited our scope for touring the area, and each time we left the van we were ankle deep in mud. You really need hard stands for each pitch, as the sub surface plastic just doesn't work. Also a better surface on the entrance to the field. The footpath, avoiding the road, to reach the Camel trail is extremely dangerous in wet weather, and not a comfortable walk in dry conditions.

I chose this site due to its location - walking distance to Padstow and access to the Camel Trail. It did not disappoint in this respect - accessed down a short narrow road the site has it's own access to the Camel trail. Padstow is a 10 minute walk away and Wadebridge is a 5 mile walk (or cycle). The amenities were basic but clean. Spacious free shower cubicles and plenty of toilet, sinks etc. Covered pot wash area and a drying room (very useful for drying towels etc in dodgy weather). The only negative about this site is that the toilets and shower blocks are not heated - they were a bit chilly in October!! We will definitely visit again.

"Close to town but access a bit narrow"

However, the access road in is a challenge being narrow without passing places. The park is very well kept but more suited to warm weather camping as the toilet and shower blocks are not heated and all the pitches are grass, some of which were not available but to recent rainfall. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

"Outstanding site, loved it"

What a find! Quick skip and a hop walk into Padstow, and yards from Camel Trail. Site is immaculate and facilities so clean. Can not recommend, or praise it enough. See you next year 😁

Very convenient site for walking/cycling into Padstow as all off road. Nice local walks and friendly staff. Quite pricey but it is in a great location.

We chose this campsite due to its location within walking distance to Padstow and the Camel Trail. With easy access to the Camel Trail we found ourselves wondering into Padstow most days visiting one of their numerous eateries or pubs. If I was going to suggest one improvement that the site could make it would be to improve the surface into electric hookup part of the site as there had been lots of rain and it had become rather boggy. Paul the warden was a great help as the entrance into the site is rather narrow and steep, he assisted us by pulling our trailer into a separate area.

"Dennis Cove"

J Long - Stayed with partner, Oct 2019

Location perfect as an easy walk into Padstow. Early October for us was ideal as not so busy in Padstow and surrounding areas. Pitch quite muddy and feel the pitch markers could have been adjusted slightly to use the better grassy areas as it wasn’t totally full.... Location perfect as an easy walk into Padstow. Water in showers could have been slightly warmer but cubicles spacious and well planned It is still quite expensive out of season but we felt the location made it worthwhile.

"Short break away near Padstow"

Mrs B Green - Stayed with friends, Oct 2019

I would highly recommend Dennis Cove, the walk into Padstow is lovely & doesn't take very long. The showers have tokens and they last for a long time, you can get more if needed, they are free. The water is lovely hot & powerful. The loos are clean & tidy.
