Faskally Caravan Park is close to Pitlochry, so access to shopping, restaurants, leisure facilities and taxis / buses is excellent. The Park is in a lovely location close to a river and has access to several nice walks. Check-in at the Park shop / reception was smooth and staff were very polite and helpful. Park facilities are good, with newly refurbished toilet block, bar / restaurant and really nice swimming pool. I would definitely recommend this Park to others and will probably visit again in the future. However, I have a couple of negative comments and suggestions to further improve the Park:- 1) Rather than face a lengthy walk around the lower caravan site to visit the toilet / shower block, we took a shortcut across the grass field in the centre of the lower site. Due to the time of year (late October), this field was constantly wet and muddy resulting in mud being carried into my caravan and the newly cleaned toilet block. A paved path across the field would help eliminate this issue. 2) Although the toilet / shower block was thoroughly cleaned daily, the aformentioned mud being trailed into the toilets and showers meant the cleanliness was short lived. Once inside a shower cubicle, the mud ended up all over the cubicle floor and your feet. Whilst you can never legislate for other people who don't care about making a mess, provision of a couple of mops / buckets would allow those who do care, to clean up the floor before and after showering. 3) Although the toilet / shower block was thoroughly cleaned daily, every time my wife and I visited the respective blocks we commented that they always smelled of poo, regardless of how good the cleaner had left them. Perhaps some disinfectant or other nice smelling chemical would help mask the nasty smell. 4) Every time my wife and I visited the toilet block, we noted that the toilet bowls were inevitably soiled. Whilst you can never legislate for other people who don't care about making a mess, provision of individual toilet brushes would allow those who do care, to clean up the bowls before and after use as necessary.

"Great site and facility."

Mr A Moore - Stayed with family, Oct 2018

Great site, welcoming and friendly. We were at the end of the season so that possibly accounts for the more reduced items in the shop. The shop and the pub could do with a bit of a revamp to update it but otherwise a great site.

Food at restaurant was fine, quite basic and could probably be improved but overall an excellent site with fab facilities.

Slightly expensive for our motor home as we had our grandsons with us. We could have wild camped but prefer to give business to the areas we visit. Toilet facilities were excellent. Very high standard of cleanliness.

We come to Pitlochry every October for the Enchanted Forest, and have been staying at Faskally Caravan Park since 2014, often bringing friends too. The facilities are outstanding, clean, well-kept and very reasonably priced, and the staff always obliging. This year we had booked in our motorhome as usual, but unfortunately a couple of weeks before departure it failed its MOT. I contacted the Park and spoke to Ian, who was extremely helpful and as we were regular visitors, offered to set our motorhome fee against the hire of a static caravan for us and the friend who was coming with us. This was a simple and very welcome solution, and we had an excellent few days in a fabulous caravan which was both cosy and spacious with all mod cons. Thank-you for another excellent experience - we would wholeheartedly recommend the Park for tourers or static rentals, and are already looking forward to next year’s visit. The Enchanted Forest is a wonder not to be missed, and a stay at the Park enhances the experience - we love walking into town along the river, and we can easily walk out of the Forest and along the road back to the Park.
