Our first visit to Galloway Point, though we have stayed at the site adjacent. However, as the pricing was slightly cheaper at GP we thought we'd try it out. The Manager, Jim, was very accommodating when we phoned to ask if we could put our 3 day booking 1 day ahead, due to very heavy rain and potential driving difficulties for us. We opted for the hard standing near the toilets/shower block, even though Jim did say there was no view. We found it a bonus being close to the block, as the weather wasn't great so no trudging from a distance (ie up on the clifftop hard standings - where ofcourse there are great views). The toilet/shower blocks were immaculate. There is potential for heating though the radiator wasn't on when we were there (mid April). Nice hot showers. We appreciated the washing up facility - again, plenty of hot water. The washing machine cost seems reasonable at £3.. It would be good to have outdoor drying area/whirlies? No WiFi but can get at nearby restaurant.
Lovely views, friendly staff, very tidy site. Ideally situated for bar/restaurant across the road. Very reasonably priced. Great scenic walk into Portpatrick.
We love this site and have stayed several times. Lovely clean amenities, near enough to walk into town, or the Galloway Point pub/restaurant is a stone's throw away.
Lovely location and staff very welcoming.Only negatives for me was......Toilet and waste disposal are a long walk back up the site, shame these facilities could not be located as well near the sea view pitches.Pitches are small on sea view, as the grass was very wet I struggled to park my vehicle next to my caravan, not a chance of getting my awning up as well.Water pressure for shower in toilet Blick was just a trickle.Overall though, nice view over the coast.
We really enjoyed our brief stay at Galloway Point Holiday Park. We are a family of 2 adults, 3 kids and our dog travelling in our motorhome. Really handy site getting off the ferry at Cairnryan. Only 25 minutes from the port. Lovely site, the highlight being the beautiful cliff walk from the site to Portpatrick passing the castle and the gorgeous scenery. Facilities were spotless, easily accessible and plenty of green space for the kids to play. We will visit again. Highly recommend for families.
We had a great stay here. Facilities are excellent and the location is just amazing. Plenty to do in and around Portpatrick whatever the weather, lovely town with good pubs and places to eat and close to good walking routes.
The pod had most things we needed for our short stay. Check in was both efficient and friendly with everything being explained to us. The pod was spotless and was very comfortable. We didn't realise we had to bring toilet rolls but after that emergency everything else was plain sailing 😂There were oven rings and a microwave along with kettle etc. Would miss having an oven if we were staying longer.Would love to come back in warmer weather to make the most of the outdoors. We ate at The Galloway restaurant which was close by and we also had dinner at Dunskey Golf Club- highly recommend this. In the village we noticed the. Municipal Park has now reopened which will be good for future visits. Putting green was also a hit with family members. Will definitely come back to the park again, excellent value for money. Thank you 🌟
Stayed here a number of times and always loved it excellent facilities nice bar and restaurant would highly recommend it
We really enjoyed the whole experience apart from a late arrival on the Sunday night who were particularly noisy setting up there caravan which is a reflection on the caravan era not the site 👍
Great little pod with everything you need. Immaculate and well looked after. Was myself and my little boy who loved the concept. Beautiful setting, scenery amazing and beautiful walk along cliffs into village. Galloway Restaurant was ok but not as good as we hoped. Facilities for kids in park were ok but again maybe some additional parks; play equipment would be beneficial. Felt it would be better suited to adults with distance from village & amenities.
