I booked this park through sun holidays hence we got a standard caravan which didn’t have heating ..,. As we went August thought heating wouldn’t be necessary but sadly it was very cold also paid for my infant but couldn’t fit in the travel cot so we had to upgrade and they charged £20 for 2 nights😳... well we had no choice but we had too. Again the central heating was not working also the lounge sofa was filled with pet hair when I complained maintainence manager came in and sorted and he was nice too. The kitchen had a kettle but it was rusted so couldn’t boil water especially to make milk for my baby abs when I kept ringing the reception no one answer , lots of frustration but to be honest the area was beautiful.

Lovely sea views The accommodation was fab, very spacious, well looked after and clean. Great that you can still use the games room, restaurant/bar and pool without entertainment passes. Good play areas dotted around for children. Suggestions Check in staff could be friendlier and more welcoming The games room could do with a bit of an update - we lost money in some machines/wouldn't accept coins. Free Wifi in accommodation would be good We didn't use the main entertainment because Bingo played every eve at the time we would have liked to go. Overall we enjoyed our break away and would recommend the site to others.

"Camping in the sun"

We enjoyed our time at Auchenlairie. The site is in the coastline with stunning views and a gorgeous sheltered beach. The weather was stunning for most of our stay, although when the wind and rain arrived the site was a bit exposed to the extremes of the weather.... We enjoyed our time at Auchenlairie. The site is in the coastline with stunning views and a gorgeous sheltered beach. The weather was stunning for most of our stay, although when the wind and rain arrived the site was a bit exposed to the extremes of the weather. Facilities are good and the food from the takeaway is delicious and amazing value for money. The only downsides are the close proximity of the camping field to the very busy A75 which generates a lot of traffic noise 24-7 and the lack of organisation to allocate pitch numbers on the large camp field. People are free to pich where they want - in our experience within 1 metre of our tent door

"Will definitely return"

Mrs D Maitland - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

Great site. Will defiantly come back. . I would only mention that the older camp shower block is in need of a serious update. Floors were dirty, toilet and shower blocked and smelling. No toilet roll on one of the mornings but the rest of the park made up for this... Great site. Will defiantly come back. . I would only mention that the older camp shower block is in need of a serious update. Floors were dirty, toilet and shower blocked and smelling. No toilet roll on one of the mornings but the rest of the park made up for this small issue. There is a more up to date block further up but the older one was the closest to our tent.

Nice beach if weather had been any good, long walk to bar and kids area down a very steep hill. Takeaway was excellent on site shame about the toilet and shower facilities which were filthy. Human mess wiped on wall and was there for three days before being cleaned... Nice beach if weather had been any good, long walk to bar and kids area down a very steep hill. Takeaway was excellent on site shame about the toilet and shower facilities which were filthy. Human mess wiped on wall and was there for three days before being cleaned off. Wouldn’t stay again catered more for statics than tourers

HI there my review is that I thought the site was lovely, my thought was security was a bit of an issue. as anybody could just drive in to the site without any problem what so every ,and as I had with me a jetski , I was concerned about it security even though it was chained up .Also the fish shop was a bit expensive and not really good value for money .And maybe the slip way needs to be a bit more friendly to use ? nearly burnt me clutch out . but apart from this nice place to come too , hope this is some use to you thanks.

The surroundings are beautiful and the little beach is lovely for the kids to have a paddle. The shower block was nice and clean. The location being on the a75 is good as was easy to find the site and easy to set off exploring in the morning, downside is it is very noisy and not just with road noise but with lorry drivers honking their horns in the early hours. Also we needed to use drill in pegs as ground was very rocky so i feel this should be mentioned when booking so people can be fully equiped
