"Peaceful quiet and clean place"

We had a very nice large 2-bed caravan for 4 nights. It was warm, clean, had a full sized fridge (and freezer), central heating, a deck, a nice hot shower and 2 toilets. It was warm, clean, had a full sized fridge (and freezer), central heating, a deck, a nice hot shower and 2 toilets. The owner provided a buggy which helped transfer things from the car when we arrived/left, and some info about the area and park. The sky at night allows the Milky Way to be seen clearly (no light pollution). Everything was reasonably spaced on the park. Laundry and drying rooms looked lovely. We did some walks around the area and also went to Pucks Glen and the Arboretum both at Kilmun, and to Strathlachan Castle. Enjoyed it very much, even though it rained quite a bit (October). Came home via ferry. Owner is nice and friendly.

As we have never stayed on the Cowal peninsular we were looking for a central venue to explore from. Glendaruel proved to be just that and in the 5 days we stayed we walked, drove about, visited historic sites, ate out and even spent a day on the Isle of Bute. The caravan site was an ideal base and a well run establishment. Like many other areas in Scotland mobile phone reception and WiFi were poor to non-existent. So only absolutely essential contact with the outside world. BLISS!
