My niece and nephew visited one evening and had a great time in the play area and were super impressed the ice cream van even came round from the town and stopped right next to my pitch! Great campsite, definitely recommend a stay.

However the site and adjacent town were so lovely, and our pitch by the river was a delight, that we extended our stay to 4 nights and even then we were reluctant to leave. So many things to see and do in the area and great walks with the dog, and we thought Ballater itself was really nice. Definitely hope to return.

Having been devastated in the floods, the local community have done a brilliant job restoring this site. The pitches are first rate and the amenities block is amongst the best we have come across (yes, that includes Caravan and Motorhome Club sites). The staff are really helpful and lent us a step when part of our motorhome electrical wiring loom burnt out (don't ask). If you are wanting to visit this area don't even think about staying anywhere else.
