"Quick overnight camp before a long day on Lochnagar"

Mr A Munnis - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

Very impressed from the outset - arrived late, but information was waiting for us to be picked up outside reception. I have camped all over the country and abroad and can honestly say I have never come across a tidier campsite - washroom facilities outstanding. Also... I have camped all over the country and abroad and can honestly say I have never come across a tidier campsite - washroom facilities outstanding. Also very impressed that the management team do not cram in too many tents, leaving a feeling of space and plenty of room for children to play safely and to park cars.

"Wonderful site and location"

Been going there for years - favourite site . Only very slight niggle is the sleeping policemen, too many and too high ( my campervan hates them ) But hey , that won't keep me away !

"Great location for low level walks and cycling / fishing"

Mr J Martin - Stayed with partner, Aug 2018

A lovely site with clean facilities. It was packed when we went due to school hols, but everyone was considerate and there was no crazy noise after 10. Ideal for the town which had decent pubs and restaurants. Handy for walks, its just a shame the bridges are still... A lovely site with clean facilities. It was packed when we went due to school hols, but everyone was considerate and there was no crazy noise after 10. Ideal for the town which had decent pubs and restaurants. Handy for walks, its just a shame the bridges are still down after the 2015 floods as this makes the circular walks into out and back affairs. That said, the bridges can be crossed if you scramble round the fencing (as I saw some lads do). Good cycling on the backroads and beautiful quiet scenery.

"First trip very accommodating staff"

Miss A Fowler - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

I went on Victoria weekend and got a last minute booking, the receptionist then managed to find me a space for the Saturday as well! The warden was really friendly! My only gripe is that the shower isn’t very strong and stopped half way through washing my hair!
