The site and facilities very clean. The bus service is excellent as the stop is right outside the park. Convenient to the village, just 5 mins walk, for small shops, carryouts, pubs and restaurants. Nice walk from the park along the water edge to Hazelbank park.
Handy site for visiting city centre. Have stayed several times, but on this occasion the site was full of rubbish.
Very disappointed that the park’s security gate wasn’t working so the site was wide open to anyone and people could come and go freely, staff in the cafe said it hadn’t been working for sometime. Very dark and unsafe especially around the bins area as some lights weren’t working. Site could do with a good clean as fallen leaves left the pitch very messy and slippery.
Small site 15 min walk to train station, lovely facilities and, as the name suggests, right on the lough shore so peaceful views. Traffic noise as on a busy main road however it didn’t bother us.
The facilities were good. The cafe was lovely and the walks along the coast were great. Miles long walk on a dedicated walk/cycle pathway, all the way into Belfast. Very dog friendly. I would recommend for people who want to camp near to Belfast, However, the noise from traffic on the road was unbearable. Very hard to sleep. It never stopped.
HiI sent a email to what I thought was you To let you know that I wouldn't be able to make it as I has a family bereavement and need to attend the funeral which was on inisheer I asked would it be possible to rebook for an other date Yours Stephen O' Reilly
We stayed here last week for the first time . The views from the park over the water are stunning and go for miles . The toilets / washing up area is well kept. Unfortunately when we arrived there were travellers on site who had parked in our choosen space and did not want to move , this was our first upset . This in turn ment we have to go into another space , the noise from this area was a nightmare ,as the site is right next to a main road with 4 lanes and the traffic passes here day and night non stop . We were awake for most of the nights for the trip . We reported it to the point of contact which is the coffee shop workers who in turn notified the manager , we queried could we move to the other side of the caravan site as the noise here was unbearable - unfortunately they never came back to us . The experience made us feel very uneasy being on the site under that circumstances. I would not recommend staying here it was not a nice experience for us.
The site gates were open when we arrived but later repaired which was good.
Nice cafe next door lovely walks pub across the road bus stop handy for Belfast
The facilities and location are excellent but the night we stayed there was 4 tents that clearly belonged to travellers or homeless. They had wedged open the toilet doors and the one to the laundry to circumvent having to use the code and it just all felt a bit unsecure. They were hanging about in the dark at night and while we never had any issues it didn’t feel particularly safe. Due to these issues I wouldn’t return or recommend it to anyone else.
