Well positioned site on a bus route into the city. Some maintenance required to the toilets and showers. Good walking along the Lough with a cafe next to the site.Travellers have been an issue and the situation needs to be monitored.
A lovely spot near the loch, great for walking the dog. However, it was too noisy as the site is by a main road. Traffic all night so not restful.
Nice site but road noise could be an issue for some
All good apart from the fact there is no on site warden so you are left to figure out the pitch marking system. Facilities good and clean, really handy for Belfast.
Couldn’t find where to empty chemical waste as there were no labels pointing to it. Apart from that it was a lovely place.
It was our first time in Northern Ireland and we enjoyed ever minute. We travelled along the causeway route for a week and crammed in lots of attractions. And to cap it all, the weather was marvellous. All the campsites we used were clean, accessible and safe. Loughshore Park is behind heavy steel gates and every visitor gets a unique access code so we had no qualms about leaving our campers there. We are already planning our next visit.
This site is well run, clean and is full comfort. Being close to Belfast and the shopping at Abbey Centre make it a good stop-over site or a relaxed weekend break. The nearby walks keep the dogs happy and the cafe at the gate is an added luxury. We enjoy going here for a few days to unwind and shop. We would recommend this site.
My partner and I stayed for 3 nights here. We have a campervan and an awning. Grass pitches were great set out with trees and a lovely walking way path around.Absolutely beautiful stunning location. Very well kept. Clean shower rooms.. hot water.
The grate on the sluice toilet waste receiver had dried in paper and blue loo on it for 3 days. The lock on the gents bathroom door did not line up correctly. The hedge betweeen the pitch’s and the road side had litter in it
