Preston, Lancashire

135 Reviews

Park Description

Ream Hills’ incredible location ensures guests get the best of both worlds as it is only 4 miles into the centre of Blackpool meaning visitors can easily switch between town and country. With fantastic attractions such as the Blackpool Tower and Stanley Park within striking distance as well as a great range of local eateries Ream Hills is ideal for any prospective holidaymaker.

The park offers a range of touring pitches that vary in size, but in general touring pitches are approx 100m2. Each pitch can comfortably accommodate a touring caravan or motor home along with your car and awning or gazebo. The tent field pitches are approx 75m2 and again can fit tents up to 25m2 along with your car and outdoor picnic furniture. Larger tents can be accommodated over 2 pitches.

Our luxury lakeside lodges with hot tubs offer a perfect break away; stay Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday or a full 7 days. Sleeping 4 / 6 or even 7 guests (including an infant) with a fully fitted kitchen, en-suite master bedroom and full family bathroom. Our Ladybank Lodge (Cedar Log 6) is top of our fleet and you will love this original true Canadian log cabin with its full height ceiling in the lounge and 3 en-suite bedrooms.

Have you ever slept in a helicopter - well now is your chance to do so. Our Lynx XZ676 helicopter is available for 1, 2 or even 3 nights stay on our touring park.

"great site"

Anonymous - Stayed with family, Aug 2019

This site is lovely, away from the hustle and bustle of Blackpool. The licensed on site bar attached to the water park joined onto the park is brilliant. We didnt get to do any due to bad weather although it was still available so we will defianately return.

"Three day stay"

Mr A Spencer - Stayed with family, Aug 2019

Overall a good camping trip but certain elements let the site down. No camp fires was disappointing as was no ball games allowed. The number of toilets (two with faulty locks) was inadequate for the number of campers. The watersports facilities were very good as was... "Just ok."

Mrs N McKnight - Stayed with friends, Aug 2019

We enjoyed our stay but there were a few things that could of been better, the kids park could of been closer to the tent field so the kids could access it on there own and parents could keep an eye on them and the site would benefit from a few more toilets.

Arrived on Sat 3rd Aug and campsite was busy which was good, but I felt pitches were too close together. You are made to park your car in front of the entrance to your tent, rather than at the side, which reduces your privacy and increases the noise you hear from the tents by your sides. The tent behind you is only 3 metres max. which is also not so good. There are 5 toilets (3 which have showers), but 2 of the locks were broken. There was a note on the doors to say locks were being ordered today, but when I left 6 days later, no locks were fixed! The play park was at the other side of the lake, therefore I could not let my twin boys aged 6 go there alone. There was a grass area for the kids, which had 1 set of portable plastic goals. I paid a premium price for a very basic campsite with long queues for toilets/showers. In disbelief that broken locks on toilets/showers were not fixed same day. On a positive note, you can get alcoholic drinks from the cafe etc. which was good and staff friendly. Thankfully I was only using it as a base to visit Blackpool entertainment and didn't spend much time there. There is no local bus and windy roads not suitable for walking along.

"Nice campsite"

C Comey - Stayed with family, Aug 2019

Nice flat area for tents with electric points, standard toilet shower block, small playground but booked for proximity to Blackpool.

"Poor facilities on tent field"

Mrs E McGill - Stayed with family, Aug 2019

Following a complaint directly to the owners - too few toilets and showers for the number of people on the tent field, facilities not deep cleaned - contain slugs, spiders and cobwebs - locks on two of the five rooms broken so had to take another person along to hold... Following a complaint directly to the owners - too few toilets and showers for the number of people on the tent field, facilities not deep cleaned - contain slugs, spiders and cobwebs - locks on two of the five rooms broken so had to take another person along to hold the door. It’s a real shame as otherwise a great site. Would be reluctant to return unless these facilities were improved.

"Poor washing facilities"

Mrs K Grapes - Stayed with family, Aug 2019

Very poor facilities, not enough shower and toilet facilities for number of people on tent field, showers and toilets were dirty and locks on doors broken, would definitely not return and not recommend to anyone.

"Ok but wouldnt go back."

Cannot fault the location of the site or the helpful staff but just unhappy withe toilets in the tent field. Just not enough for the amount of pitches. Toilets/showers were dirty and toilet doors needed fixing. Not enough near the tent field for the children to do.... Toilets/showers were dirty and toilet doors needed fixing. Not enough near the tent field for the children to do. The park is too far away. Good that they had football nets on the tent site but that was it. Also disappointed that we were not allowed a campfire, we were allowed a bbq but not allowed to put a a fire log in an off the ground container.

Mrs C Reynolds - Stayed with partner, Jul 2019

We stayed in the glamping helicopter, it was fabulous, great fun the only thing that let us down was the weather it poured down, so we couldn’t sit outside on the decking, which couldn’t be helped, washing facilities were lovely and clean and Blackpool only 10 mins...
