Preston, Lancashire

109 Reviews

Park Description

Ream Hills’ incredible location ensures guests get the best of both worlds as it is only 4 miles into the centre of Blackpool meaning visitors can easily switch between town and country. With fantastic attractions such as the Blackpool Tower and Stanley Park within striking distance as well as a great range of local eateries Ream Hills is ideal for any prospective holidaymaker.

The park offers a range of touring pitches that vary in size, but in general touring pitches are approx 100m2. Each pitch can comfortably accommodate a touring caravan or motor home along with your car and awning or gazebo. The tent field pitches are approx 75m2 and again can fit tents up to 25m2 along with your car and outdoor picnic furniture. Larger tents can be accommodated over 2 pitches.

Our luxury lakeside lodges with hot tubs offer a perfect break away; stay Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday or a full 7 days. Sleeping 4 / 6 or even 7 guests (including an infant) with a fully fitted kitchen, en-suite master bedroom and full family bathroom. Our Ladybank Lodge (Cedar Log 6) is top of our fleet and you will love this original true Canadian log cabin with its full height ceiling in the lounge and 3 en-suite bedrooms.

Have you ever slept in a helicopter - well now is your chance to do so. Our Lynx XZ676 helicopter is available for 1, 2 or even 3 nights stay on our touring park.

I didn't use any site facilities other than the shower block which met my needs. Access to the site is easy, however there are no offsite eating / drinking venues within easy walking distance. The water based facilities looked impressive but I didn't use them. Would consider visiting this site again, office staff very friendly.

The large lakeside ceder lodge is absolutely fantastic. I was originally from Blackpool, so use the lodge to see my family, I truly believe this is the best accommodation near Blackpool if you have a large family or if you want to entertain in a home from home environment. Alternatively, I also 100% recommend the lodge for anybody wanting a relaxing and luxurious get away from it all break. Due to the massive size (can sleep 10) it can take a bit of heating in the winter when you first arrive, but all this shows is that the place has been nicely aired ready for new customers. (Just relax in the hot tub if it an issue.) Great very helpful staff.

Good location and in a quite setting, well laid out with plenty of space and good utility supplies. Only minor complaint was WIFI reliability, long periods of signal loss, but the weather was bad at the time. An improvement would be Brown caravan signs on the main road, and from one direction site access is a right turning off a blind bend in the road, so be careful.

"A short Visit"

I used this campsite whilst visiting Preston Caravans & Motorhomes. I always use this site as the site is well cared for and washrooms are spotless. Easy access from the M55.

I had a great time with friends in the big 8 person Canadian Lodge at Ream Hills. It was blowing a gale and raining all weekend but the lodge was so comfortable, hot tub warm (although not sheltered, but it was a laugh). Beds were very comfy and wifi able to steam a film. Only critique is no soap in the bathrooms or enough loo roll to last the weekend but we luckily had someone bring more in our group. I would love to come again, maybe in summer next time for a whole different experience. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

It's great to have a base with a lounge and kitchen so you can sit with each other and bring your own food/drink. A home away from home. The hot tub is a fabulous idea and was enjoyed by both kids and adults, it's checked daily by staff and was very clean and hot! The lake attracts geese and ducks which the children will love feeding, and were fun to watch in the high winds trying to fly off. It's very peaceful here, so a wonderful escape from the bright lights of Blackpool. You can just see the tower from here in the distance as it's only about 10 minutes away by car. So you can get your fix of arcade games and family entertainment when needed. There is a kids play area on site with swing and slide, and in the summer there is the water inflatable on the lake (haven't tried it). The site has a small shop for basics in reception, but Tesco isn't far away. We have stayed in a 4 lodge, a 6 lodge and the big 6 wooden lodge. Obviously we prefer the big one as it has the extra wow factor, but the smaller ones have everything you need. They supply bedding, towels, hair dryer, kettle and cooking equipment etc in the lodges (and a dishwasher). If you are looking for a secure and peaceful retreat after the craziness of Blackpool this is the place.
