Even on the phone, Andrew gave me confidence that he was going out of his way to be as helpful as possible.

"My recent stay at Claylands"

Mr D Gingell - Stayed Aug 2018

I have been to this park on several occasions and always find it very good, I personally go for a very relaxing break, and that;s what I get. There are many things going on around this park, very good value for money.

I was attracted to Claylands by the details on their website, the park sounded idyllic. However upon arrival I was sadly disappointed, an electricity pilon right in front of our caravan was to be our view for the next 2 nights, along with the buzzing noise. Not off... I was attracted to Claylands by the details on their website, the park sounded idyllic. However upon arrival I was sadly disappointed, an electricity pilon right in front of our caravan was to be our view for the next 2 nights, along with the buzzing noise. Not off to a good start. Other disappointments to follow were, broken play equipment on the children's park, toilets blocked & not flushing therefore smelly/unhygenic and a charge for WiFi which did not work properly and we were not really able to use. We found lots of lovely places to visit in the local area and we will be returning, but to another caravan park, not Claylands.

Lovely site my husband and son enjoyed the fishing even though the weather let us down. Nice walk into Scorton with the dog. Didn't use the restaurant but it looked nice, we had a drink outside . The staff were very friendly

"Best camping holiday yet"

J Tweddle - Stayed with family, Jul 2018

Every year we go camping with kids, and this has been the best yet. Lovely location, great hosts, awesome fishing and so clean and well kept. Also has the best food we’ve ever had - everything home cooked, and full of flavour. We’ll be back next year for sure :-)

This is my 2nd visit to Claylands we stayed on a camp pitch with our grandchildren aged 4 and 5 they love it the play area is perfect for hours of fun, it’s safe and well maintained. We had a meal in stepping Stones restaurant and this was quality food and service, all the grounds are well looked after, the only negative I have is that the toilet/shower blocks are too far away, maybe another block near pitches would be beneficial. Overall great site excellent facilities and will be going again in the very near future.
