There is quite a sharp bend to get a caravan around at the farm but a couple of viewing mirrors might help there as you can't see what is coming round the corner. It's a great site though.

"Great location."

We love the location with fantastic views over the sea and facilities at Red Bank Farm are good with everything you need and we feel it is good value for money. We love the location with fantastic views over the sea and facilities at Red Bank Farm are good with everything you need and we feel it is good value for money. We enjoy walking and this site is ideal for that as well. Great on site cafe too. The only down side was that we had to leave a day early due to heavy rain and the grass pitches becoming very difficult to drive on or off, this is the second time we have needed to be pulled out by the tractor. Some all weather pitches would be a great asset to the site. We would come back, but would check the weather forecast first.

We found it by chance whilst looking for a convenient location from which to visit the "Vintage by the sea" festival in Morecambe. It was perfect for that with an easy 20min bicycle ride to the town. It is also conveniently situated for further afield e.g. Silverdale, Arnside and the South Lakes in general. In addition there is a very nice onsite cafe popular with both campers and day visitors and another nice cafe near the level crossing just along the road at Hest Bank and right next to the crossing is a great micro pub! From the approach road to the site there are spectacular views across Morecambe Bay and the Lake District and easy access to the salt marshes for recreational and dog walking. Access to the campsite is tight and needs to be negotiated with care and the fields are quite sloping so choosing your location is critical for a good night's sleep.
