"Birding Heaven"

Anonymous - Stayed with partner, Aug 2019

Keen bird watchers, surrounding area full of wildlife and natural beauty, site allows access to all of this. Despite gale force winds and floods, the site was still kept clean and accessible. Will be returning as the Archers café has brilliant food at excellent value... Keen bird watchers, surrounding area full of wildlife and natural beauty, site allows access to all of this. Fantastic canal walks nearby, also good beach walk to Morecambe. We didn't use the Café but it was full each time we passed. Top quality site

"Amazing views"

Beautiful location with great views. Spacious with good quality grass well maintained. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Popular cafe. Wash facilities good. A small shop selling milk etc would have been a good idea. Could not find chemical toilet disposal.

Not the best weather, cafe was disappointing due to lack of available seating, but would consider going again.

"Second visit to Red Bank Farm"

Anonymous - Stayed with friends, Aug 2019

A clean and well cared for site. Staff were all very helpful. Quite an exposed site near the coast so can get a bit windy. Near to Morecambe which has plenty to keep children busy. Enjoyed a trip to Happy Mount Park.

Stayed at this site as it was a good first base for Way of the Roses bike ride. Very convenient for access to Morecambe and start of ride. Camp site is very large and well maintained so there is no problem finding a suitable pitch with some privacy. There are two camp fields, one is quite sheltered, the other is probably prone to being quite windy but you have the choice in any event. Toilet and shower block is very clean and modern. There are two access roads to the site from the main road, one crosses a rail crossing and the other a rail bridge, the roads are quite narrow but with passing places and should present no problems if everyone is considerate.

Staff friendly and approachable, small kiosk to book in round the back of the cafe but handles all the essentials. Lovely open fields with a sea view but fields on a significant slope which makes certain 'flatter' areas of the fields more crowded, Fields are first come first serve. Think there should be more opportunities for recycling, not sure if the facilties exist in that area but such a shame to see all the rubbish piling up, bottles, tins and cardboard especially. A small shop on site selling local bread, milk eggs etc would be handy to save people having to drive off site (nearest shop is 20 mins walk) and would be another opportunity to showcase local produce. A small safe gated play area for kids would be a bonus, some children aren't keen on the animals and it would be nice to have a central little park/sandpit/space that could be observed in the fields or close by. The surrounding scenery and area is beautiful and a really lovely spot. Red Bank farm is lovely for a few days break, the team are trying hard but has the potential to be a gem in the North.
