Elm Cottage Touring Park

Winsford, Cheshire

Park Description

Under the new ownership of James, Jackie and family, we are a family run site near the picturesque village of Little Budworth, Cheshire.

Just 12 miles from Chester, we are a perfect base for visiting the varied tourist attractions in this area including the Anderton Boat Lift, Crocky Trail, Jodrell Bank, Delamere Forest etc

We are open all year around for caravans & motorhomes, with camping available from Easter to September. Pitch types include grass, gravel and fully serviced.

Organised rallies are welcome and our spacious barn is available for hire. Catering can also be arranged.

Our pizza oven is open most Fridays during July & August – yum yum!

Our modern underfloor heated toilet block, with free showers and modern disabled facilities, is maintained to very high standards.

Our small shop, otherwise known as ‘The Tardis’, offers delicious, locally sourced sausages, bacon, free range eggs and bread, as well as cold drinks, ices, fresh milk and basic groceries.

We are an approved Calor Gas Dealer and have little touches on site such as wi-fi, tyre inflation facility and a herb garden.

A dog friendly park, Elm Cottage welcomes well behaved dogs and their owners! We have a large dedicated dog walking area within our grounds, much enjoyed by our own fluffy family member!

Public Houses are nearby, the closest is approx. 400 yards from the site. Local ales & freshly cooked food are served.

Opening Dates

Open all year round.

We went to this touring park for Our New Year break. The site is lovely with adequate space in between each van/ Motorhome. We had a friendly welcome from the owner and it’s location is fairly quiet even though it is quite close to a main road. There Is a small shop on site for any essential items. As for the washroom facilities they are spotless, hot shower and very well maintained with fresh flowers. We did not inspect the play area for the children as we had none with us, there is a friendly pub up the road which is walking distance with a torch! also lovely food available in the pubs in the village. All in all a lovely break!

"Loo disposal facility"

Anonymous - Stayed with partner, Dec 2018

This is a lovely site only spoiled by the chemical toilet disposal facility which splashes back at you however you try to empty you cassette loo. A plastic liner rather than ceramic tiles would resolve this.

This was a quick, local weekend away for us and we will definately be returning!

Only staying 2 nights so visited Tarporley village and The Hollies Shop/Garden/Restaurant both lovely visits. Visited the Shrewsbury Arms (dog friendly) in the evening - 500yds walk but on very busy road. Very friendly staff and locals so went again on second night.
