Ran out of gas ,went to reception as stated on there information they sold calor gas only to be told they had nothing on site, told to go to garage opposite they might have some, luckily they did.We then went back to reception to ask if one of there site team could run the gas bottle over to are pitch in there van as we were near the exit of the site ,a long way to carry a full bottle of gas at 73 years old, but were told they didn't know where he was and couldn't help. The two older staff on duty that day ,a Male and female need to have lessons from the younger members of reception staff who were very good when on duty. Will I ever go back to this site ,no way

First the lay out of the park is very good with access to all car parking for fishing easy.we stayed in one of the wooland rooms next to the pub.one double one single.really only big enough for 2 adults.twinbeds would work best.tea and coffee provided but nothing like a small fridge would be great.shower brilliant room cleaned every day spotless.pub works well with social distances strictly observed.some of the meals are ok but looks like frozen chips and maybe other stuff as well.all the staff are friendly and helpful.and the fishing is worth the visit.

We have been to this site many times , unfortunately we had to cancel our first booking , but managed to rebook again on a super pitch the warden on the phone was very helpful . We arrive at the site the warden on reception was not the most welcoming person , no customer service at all, I was disappointed as the lady on the phone previous was so cheerful . I have noticed this on previous visits too. The site was lovely and would definitely book a super pitch again . The showers could do with a revamp as looking a little tired but this did not spoil our stay . So woodland waters needs to speak to their staff and have everyone on the same level . After a long journey from Devon you want to be greeted with a cheerful welcome . Surrounding areas beautiful and a local bus into Grantham is pleasant .

We have been to woodland waters for many years and love the scenery and tranquil place We enjoy the bar and my husband likes to fish Unfortunately last time we stayed we had few issues I booked online for Sunday-Wednesday and the system was telling me to book on the rally field so I booked as it has electric and a good view of the lake. We arrived later on Sunday afternoon to find the main pitches We’re all free and were for the entire stay and everyone else who arrived during our stay were also on the rally field. We all were packed in and didn’t understand why ?? Asked at reception about it and she didn’t really care My other issue was the Ladies showers for along time I’ve said that they are needing to be upgraded in the main block as one does not flow down onto you and the middle shower has a fault on it. It’s happened twice while I was showering the warm water suddenly went to scalding hot with no warning It would be very dangerous if a child or adult wasn’t quick enough to move out of the way It left a red mark on my back and arm so be warned!! Hasn’t put us off going again but will be booking by phone and not using the shower !!

"Lovely stay"

Enjoyed a long weekend in a dog friendly cabin beautiful surroundings and good bar on site. The only down side was there was no enclosed decked area so we could not leave the doors open as the dogs would have escaped

We came out for a relaxed weekend and looked forward to utilizing Woodys bar and restaurant. The COVID 19 precaution were very good and the staff were always vigilant to ensure all visitors complied . This made me very comfortable in these difficult times. I will be returning to Woodlands very soon in the future. Thank you to all the team at woodlands.

Booking was easy and simple by phone. were able to book the right site and which was clean and tidy. Facilities and walking was lovely. Booking was easy and simple by phone. were able to book the right site and which was clean and tidy. Facilities and walking was lovely. Fishing was an added bonus with a selection of lakes to suite all. Perhaps a little update on signage would have been great showing additional waste points and guides to the location of the pitches. All was great with a lovely relaxing few days even though we were locals anyway.
