"Lovely hot tub lodge, immaculate finish right down to every detail"

The kitchen was lovely with built in appliances it was as nice as being at home. Even the dressing table area. No expense has been spared the fact there is things like a gtech hoover to use and the plugs are all also usb plugs which are just nice touches and aren’t usual in a caravan/lodge holiday. Unfortunately our lodge seemed to have a wasp nest on the roof so we were unable to have the patio doors open which wasn’t great with the dog. There were about 15/20 on the decking making it impossible to get in and out one day but no fault of the site. Due to covid the hot tub has to be emptied and refilled and takes 24 hours at least to heat up we found it wasn’t properly hot until 48 hours after arrival so worth nothing if you are staying soon for a weekend. We also found it a bit intrusive how with checkout being at 10am on day of departure- by 9.50am we had 4 members of staff already in the caravan - checking hot tub dropping off linen bags and then maids stood waiting to come in. It was very uncomfortable and when you are trying to pack and leave so early it was unpleasant! Felt rushed out from 8.30am, it was a shame. The “locals” who camp regular on the pitches behind can also be very stand offish. Two of them blocked us in and refused to move and then on the last day one was verbally abusive to make us move our car parked directly behind our own lodge blocking no entries or exists. The actual lodge itself is stunning but things to be aware of especially when travelling with children. Also need to have a car when staying, nothing at all around can’t walk to a shop best stopping at a supermarket on the way. There is also zero telephone signal with it being rural Lancashire so can’t order a takeaway on phone etc. There is WiFi advertised but it doesn’t work we were promised a booster but it didn’t work all weekend unfortunately. So couldn’t use smart tv which was nicely included in all bedrooms again a nice touch! Rare to find tv in every room and the living room. we were also sent photos of our room before we stayed and it featured a bath however on arrival it wasn’t our caravan in the pictures. They have no website for the lodges only cottages so can only go off ones we were shown by the site themselves. “Reel paradise” was our lodge the Facebook pictures still have the bath featured and only has a shower. It has a Lovely south face decking though so perfect for a summer stay

"Great for anglers"

J Jones - Stayed with partner, Jul 2020

Park catered only for anglers, otherwise nothing more there. But the site was quiet, clean and pretty.

"Skegness is open."

D Moore - Stayed with family, Aug 2020

The site is in excellent condition, plenty of space on each pitch. The toilet facilities are always clean and are attended to 3 times a day. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The owners Neil and Sally will go out of there way to assist, nothing is to much... The site is in excellent condition, plenty of space on each pitch. Excellent site, we used caravan and motorhome club cl pitch. Staff very welcoming on arrival. Very impressed with the way COVID-19 regs were introduced using good signage etc. All facilities were very clean and good security gates. A very enjoyable stay.
