We stayed at Haw Farm for a weekend, it is a lovely site with the biggest pitches I have seen, we will definitely be going back. We stayed here as it was the closest site we could get to Southwold, which was not very far at all. All the staff we met were very friendly. We had a really lovely weekend. I can't really comment on the facilities as we used our own facilities in our caravan. I would say the only thing that let the site down was the fish and chips. We ordered cod and chips and large scampi and chips, we sat on the picnic tables outside their shop/cafe which was a lovely place to sit, but the cod was clearly a frozen piece like you would buy in a supermarket and the large scampi was only 7 pieces! I dread to think what the small was like, I would give that a miss on my return visit. However, my husband did go to the cafe early the next morning for pastries and a baguette which were lovely. If you have difficulty getting around I would ask for a pitch at the top of the site as this is where the elsan point is and its a bit of a walk from the bottom if you have problems. Overall a very nice stay, definitely to be repeated.

Haw Wood Farm ticks all the boxes - the owners are clearly passionate and care about the overall experience. The camp shop / cafe is wonderful - great coffee and a wide selection of food (healthy choices also available). Camp fires really well organised using recycled washing machine drums - no burnt grass / ash / logs to be found. Facilities are great and very clean. We will be back (this was our 2nd visit this year!)

I have been to quite a few sites over the years with a dog, and i can assure everyone interested the dog walking area is huge, a whole field , i dont know acres but I would judge about 6 acres, not boring surrounded by trees and in the middle a tall woodland growth, on top of that another field as you enter to the right laid out like a maize i thought i was lost its so big, the dog couldnt wait to get there every day. I also noticed a lot of caravans stored there, so must be secure, not one had a cover on it, i have had a lot of probs with covers in the past this must say something about them....

"Very relaxing especially do to the current situation well done to all staff"

Mr K Holmes - Stayed with partner, Sep 2021

Only one thing is the distance to the toilet emptying and motorhome service point especially as people tend to empty their grey water down the water service point drain causing them to smell Other than that it was very ! very ! Relaxing place to come to all the best... "Superb site"

Mr S Dawson - Stayed with family, Sep 2021

This is the third time we’ve stayed at the site. It just suits us perfectly. We will definitely stay there again when in this area. The site is only 10 mins by car to Southwold which we believe is the best sea~side in England. Brilliant site.

Everything in the campsite is well laid out, with lots of space (camping plots as well as the washrooms and showers). The Covid one-way system for using the washrooms was very sensible and worked well. As a campervan user I found the 'servicing' area in the corner of the campsite the best I have used anywhere: all very clean and efficient, and with water, soap and paper towels to wash hands properly afterwards. I would definitely want to come here again if we visit this part of Suffolk, and - looking at the excellent playground - I am going to see if we can arrange a summer meet-up here with grandchildren next year.
