Absolutely top class shower facilities, family bathroom fantastic. Lovely children’s play area with lots to do. Our only negative comment is that there is no privacy between pitches ( hedging) Fine for us this visit as cold and we not eating outside etc but I wouldn’t... Our only negative comment is that there is no privacy between pitches ( hedging) Fine for us this visit as cold and we not eating outside etc but I wouldn’t stay in the summer months which is a shame as otherwise perfect.

I stayed here in our touring caravan with my 2 daughters, 11 and 13, during Autumn half term week. As it happened our half term was a week later than the Suffolk schools so the site was very quiet indeed. The girls enjoyed the extensive playground facilities, including zip-wire, very much. However, I was disappointed that the site shop and cafe were closed for the season as there was no mention of this as far as I was aware at the booking stage, though in fairness we were told we could call the staff if we needed anything from the shop. With the local Co-op closed down, it meant a drive down the A12 to the nearest petrol station/Budgens for any significant food items, etc. something I hadn't bargained on doing. I was also not very happy about the fact the site was being re-tarmacked while it was still open for the season. What should have been peaceful mornings on the site were spoilt by the noise of several tarmac laying vehicles starting up at 8am every morning. I really feel this sort of work shouldn't be carried out while the site is still open to the public.

This was our second visit to Haw Wood Farm after having a weekend here earlier in the year. We stayed for a few more days this time, excellent park, excellent facilities defo one of our favourites now. We had a hard standing pitch this time and grass pitch previously. Hard standings fitted out with gravel stabilisation grid which I liked, provided a very nice pitch, they are level and fully serviced. HS pitches are very much smaller than the grass though so depending on your needs and the weather forecast choose appropriately. Cafe and shop is great, basics in the shop, and there's a budgens just down the road. Bacon and Sausage breakfast rolls were delicious on our last day. We took a travel astronomical telescope this time too, the position of the site is perfect for looking up at the sky in the evening, we got some great views of the moon through the Telescope and picking out the star constellations and planets at night was easy as it was so dark, we were lucky and had very clear skies for most of our nights at Haw Wood Farm. We did day trips to Southwold, Walberswick for obligatory crabbing, and for a dose of 2p machines, crazy golf (Main Sea Front) and fossilised shark teeth hunting (North end in front of golf club) went to Felixstowe for the day. Will be booking up again soon for dates in 2019.

"Friendly owners"

Mrs S Sanderson - Stayed with friends, Oct 2018

A top notch site with really good facilities. The dog walking field is a fantastic safe place for dogs who need to stretch their legs first thing in the morning. The owners are so friendly and happy to spend time advising on best places to visit, where to walk etc.... A top notch site with really good facilities. "Great place to stay"

Mrs A Copeman-Lamoureux - Stayed with family, Oct 2018

The park is friendly, clean, well tended and lots of space between plots. The evening are very quiet and the dog walking field was a bonus for our nervous dog. He was able to run free of the lead. We had a fabulous time with our friends and will definitely be returning.
