We really enjoyed our stay at Haw Wood . We went fully serviced this time this has definitely spoilt us for future visits. The site is immaculate, showers are brilliant. Loads of places to visit nearby. Will be returning.

We found the pitch prices good value for the 2 nights we stayed. The whole site appears well kept & tidy. Other campers seemed respectful of others & friendly. The children's park was a great hit for our toddler to enjoy. Loved the fact that there was a dedicated dog walking field. Didn't appear to be much in the immediate locale but we researched where we could go during the day if we wanted to which was great. The wash up area and washing machines were a nice touch. The toilets/shower blocks were modern & well kept. Only found it untidy on 1 occasion. All in all - a great experience for our first family camping trip - we'll look forward to booking there again soon.

Really lovely friendly wardens, and we were very impressed by the positive ecological emphasis (no plastic bags, clever recycled boiler fuel etc). All in all a very good site.

We really had a good stay and your site is impeccable. the play area is great for children too. I just have a few gripes (apart from hearing the a12 which cant be helped) 1st: the over use of wood bonfire pits. By far from being bah humbug. We have two defra log burners at home and like a good bonfire on our land when in old clothing. However, we did feel that the pits were overused. Our tent is clean, our bedding is clean and we felt clean after showering. There's nothing nicer than getting into a clean smelling sleeping bag after feeling clean. However, there were 5 on our spot and everyone was coughing. Burning wood on an open fire produces a lot of smoke due to lower temps. I have asthma and it was quite unbearable. My sisters children if there would end up in hospital due to their asthma. I`m quite glad we wasnt sandwiched in between two tents using them as that would have been horrific. Perhaps limiting use or the size of them (some were really getting going) would be best. Also, you really advertise that you are selling gluten free fish and chips when they "are" contaminated with the gluten oil. They are then automatically not gluten free. I dont really know anyone from being coeliac to being sensitive who would want to get "a little glutened". Its like cooking a nut free dish in nut oil. The original item was free from to start with but it cancels it out. Felt a bit like a marketing "tick box" rather than someones needs. We were excited but then very disappointed. Cook it in the oven on a tray. That would be better. Sadly I didn't buy any of your gluten free cakes after that as i couldnt guarantee they wouldnt be contaminated. It takes a week to get better and the effects are horrific from ulcers to blisters awful pains, migraines. Even non coeliac people get these symptoms too.
