"Weekend visit"

Anonymous - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

Site clean and lake looked nice. Would probably visit again if wanting to stay on the area. Toilet facilities need looking at. Toilet would get blocked easy but staff would come and sort them if you let them know.

"Great site. Avoid internet"

The service took my money with ease but would not recognise the username and password after that. The email address provided for complaints keeps sending a ‘not deliverable’ reply when I asked for my money back. I’m sure there is a perfectly good reason why this is but I feel ripped off frankly and had considered reporting this to the police. And may still do. Internet is not operated by the site otherwise I would have contacted them. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay.

I think the site needs to decide if it is family or party friendly. We had a lovely first day and night, Just what we wanted. On the second day a very large group (who booked in together) pitched up next to us. Now I am no prude nor am I quiet but what followed was akin being next to an over excite scout and guide camp. They were not as such doing anything wrong but everything they did day and night was done at full volume. My Daughter and young son had to leave as the boy got very little sleep

"Hi de hi"

Mr M Bisiker - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

Short stay at the campsite and loved it. The only issue was that, because of heavy rain, there was a boggy smell in the campsite. But it wasn't overbearing and otherwise, the people, and the place was really nice.

We only went for one night with the sole intention of trying out our new camping gear. There was forecast of heaving rain so we wanted to camp near home. As we pulled into the site we were met by the sceurity gate and immediately felt this was a secure location. The lady in the office that welcomed us was very helpful, showing us the various local walks we could do - and she seemed to be available till quite late at night. Unfortunately, it started to poor down with rain just as we got the ground sheet down - so challenging it became. We were told to pitch up at the end of a short drive in a nice shaded part of the grounds. However, we were hoping to be able to pitch facing the lake for the view, like the picture on the website, but it appears you can’t do that. Have to say the toilets , washing and laundry facilities are probably the cleanest Ive ever used. On site, but not owned by thr site is a little restaurant called the Apple Tree. Well worth a visit on. Friday night at 7pm - home cooked Curry night! All in all, once we got over being soaked, we had a lovely time.

"Camping Weekend"

Anonymous - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

Toilet and wash up facilities so far from the campsite. Noisy as no one seems to observe quiet time from 10pm. Management did not seem to interested in our complaint and good benefit from taking a happy pill. Hall behind the campsite had loud parties every night.
