Blarney Caravan & Camping Park

Blarney, County Cork

147 Reviews

Park Description

Blarney Caravan and Camping Park is a four-star family-run park situated eight kilometres from Cork city and three from Blarney village, but it’s secluded and peaceful enough to feel you’re in the middle of the country. There’s loads of open space for ball games, as well as a smartly-maintained play area and an 18-hole pitch and putt course (extra charge applies). The park is gently sloping and well sheltered, with views of Blarney Castle and the surrounding countryside.

Facilities at Blarney are immaculate, from the free showers to the camp kitchen, and it’s all neatly laid out among well-maintained grass and spacious pitches. Hardstanding pitches come with electric, a campervan service area and if you’re bringing a tent you can pick your own pitch in the separate camping area. There’s also free WiFi on site. A regular bus service runs from Cork City to Blarney Village.

Finding the site was a challenge! got a bit lost in a forest and took much longer to arrive!. Should have headed to Cork city and then out to Blarney (will know for the next time!) 25 euros per night was good value considering how clean and neat everything was. My only concern was the cost for laundry 6 euros for wash and a further 6 euros to dry. I am currently at another site were both are included in the 25 euros per night.

Good location to visit many areas. We also took our bikes and enjoyed a few rides from the site in the morning 15/20 miles circular routes avoiding the main roads. Lovely quiet lanes. Blarney Castle was lovely Enjoyed a boat trip in Kinsale to learn about the history of Charles Fort and a delicious meal in the Fishy Fishy Restaurant. A visit to Queenstown/Cobh to view the lovely cathedral and a delicious meal overlooking the harbour called Jacobs Ladder (highly recommend)

"immaculate campsite"

Mr M Swinden - Stayed with partner, Aug 2021

Expensive, but worth it in many ways, especially a delight to see hedging etc kept so immaculately. Location handy-ish for Cork city, but you do need to take a taxi, about 20 Euro each way.
