My sister & I took our 3 children to stay in Ty Hen's virtually brand new caravan with beautiful views over the lake for May half term & we were not overlooked in anyway so we really felt like we had a piece of Anglesey all to ourselves. Within a 10 minute walk to stunning wild Rhosneigr beach & another 10 minutes around the lake to the Oyster Catcher. The children loved the safety of the pool (they are 4, 5 & 6) Wilber the pig & the feeding the horses which came straight to our private caravan decking area. We really went back to nature & I would definitely return. For any runners there is a safe 5 mile loop run around Rhosneigr, excellent fish & chips in the village & it takes very little time to visit other locations in Anglesey - it's perfectly located. My only gripe would be the caravan could do with an ironing board & iron but if that's all there is to complain about then that's pretty damn good!

Spent our holidays many time at ty-hen and enjoyed ourselves every time clean site with a relaxed atmosphere and the chickens walking arround the site is a nice touch especially when you taste the fresh eggs that jj sells, the site has a small pool, kids play area that is very popular and l large lake that you can hire a canoe or fish on. It's good to see the jets from raf valley flying overhead on weekdays they don't fly at weekends. Only a 15 - 20 minute walk into rhosniger with its bars chippy and a few shops and great beach

Value for money good. £15 per night but it was very end of season. Motorhome parking was level and easy access to toilet block. Pleasant location and close to the village. Within easy walking distance through fields at back. A little longer via entrance road. Facilities were ok but locks on toilet doors unlockable because doors wouldn't close due to sticking and swollen. To be fair it was end of season but would benefit form solving sticking and a coat of paint where users had obviously had to apply muddy boots on door to exit the toilet cubicle! Didn't use shower as have own onboard. Hand basins always clean and tidy though as were the toilets. Entrance road is full of pot holes so negotiating in ANY vehicle needs care although I heard that this was to be improved over the winter so this may no longer be a problem next season. If in high vehicle MUST enter via the village side as opposed to following sat nav, as the back road has a low railway bridge 9'6 max. Locally - Rhosneignor is a beautiful unspoiled part of the coastline. Stunning beach, ( big on water sports), a few cafes and eateries. Plenty of lovely walks. Peaceful!

The driveway was very potholed, difficult to navigate, especially when full of rainwater ! We were unable to pay on arrival, as no one in office, possibly due to being out of season. in fact we never found anyone in the office, but a telephone was available with numbers if help was needed. We were shown where to park and given a map on request by a friendly young person in the office building, who said 'just pay near the end of the week, or when you see someone in the office' (very trusting !) Paid the day before we left. The toilets, showers etc were very clean, but the doors did not close ! The site close to village using the path across the fields. My husband enjoyed the fishing.
