Carrick Dhu Holiday Park is located on the Causeway Coastal Route, the A2 Portrush to Portstewart Road running between these two popular seaside resorts. Situated just outside Portrush, visitors can enjoy the award-winning West Bay beach, at least two local restaurants and Ballyreagh Golf Course all within a kilometre's walk.
We have invested considerably in the provision of completely new touring pitches for caravans and motorhomes – while this has reduced the number available to 35, they are more spacious and with hard surfacing for vehicles / caravans, they offer better conditions in all weathers.
Some pitches are longer - pitches 14 to 18 - and more suitable for motorhomes. Artificial grass offers further comfort, and securing awnings will require metal pegs, which are to be inserted in the natural grass just at the edge of the artificial grass, and, if required for just next to a caravan, sandbags (supplied) for tying to.
Our on site facilities include 35 Touring caravan / motorhome hard-surfaced fully serviced pitches, modern family shower/laundry facilities with disabled access, and a safe and accessible children’s outdoor play area. Guests can also avail of our onsite Chip Shop, Coffee Shop, our Recreation/Table Tennis Hall and a helpful Visitor Information Centre.
The Atlantic Ocean is just across from the Park entrance with easy access to rock pools, and further coastal walks into both Portrush and Portstewart can be enjoyed along the spectacular Port Path (also known as the Ulster Way / Causeway Coast Way): alternatively, why not try cycling along the Sustrans off-road route, or relax on the regular scheduled bus service? All options start from just outside the Park.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Close to Tides Restaurant and the train station. One niggle is the showers. First one light wasn’t working (same in September). Second one ate my money but shower wouldn’t work. Third one spat my money out. Fourth one worked perfectly and the shower was great. It was a bit of a scunder moving my stuff 3 times and could be a problem at peak times.
Return visit to Carrick Dhu and wasn’t disappointed, facilities were immaculate, check in quick and the sun was shining! Bit of noise from the work being done on the touring sites however small issue. Bonus is having a very pleasant walk in to town along the coast.
Very easy to get to. All staff very friendly. We always find it very clean and tidy. As far as value is concerned we would love it to be cheaper but it is around the same price as other sites. Our family have been going to Portrush this 40 years and still love it with all it has to offer.
This site is great , the staff are always very helpful and friendly . The facilities they have for the touring caravan is excellent Would highly recommend Carrick Dhu Caravan Park to all .
Great site, very clean facilities, luvly walks surroundingThe area, plenty of eating places.Convenient for Portstewart and PortrushHad a very enjoyable stay but did not have awning upWill be back to see how it fairs out
Very clean park. Toilet and shower facilities are spotless. Within walking distance to portrush for anyone. Staff are always very and helpful and will always be our first choice to stay in portrush
Stayed in a Motorhome on site 34. Site was absolutely spotless, facilities were great. Particularly like the separate sink cubicles opposite the showers. Site is very handy for walking into portrush and Tides restaurant and Inn on the coast less than 5 mins walk. We will absolutely be back!!
Great site very well kept and facilities were top class 10 outta 10
Spotless site with much improved pitches compared to when we stayed years ago. Staff excellent as always (Linda from Juniper Hill, where we often stay was on duty over the weekend). Will stay here again.
