"Fantastic site"

Me P Mason - Stayed with family, Apr 2018

One of the best parks we have been to. Excellent pitches and shower blocks were the best I’ve ever seen on a campsite.

Chose to take our grandson here for 5 nights during the Easter holidays and selected a hardstanding serviced pitch for our caravan because of the excessive rain this winter. A good choice and great to have water, drainage and electric on hand. Our little one made many new friends and loved the playground in spite of the mud. Well appointed showers etc and plenty of hot water to hose him down before bed! Very friendly helpful owners and staff. Visits to the beautiful Southwold, Dunwich Heath and Minsmere were a bit hampered by the thick sea fret but great to be so close and always a spectacular coastline whatever the weather. We will be back soon.......

This is the best campsite we have ever stayed at. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was very muddy when we were there and the staff helped in every way they could even down to pulling our folding camper with the tractor out of the mud so it didn’t get stuck. The showers and toilets were immaculate, well equipped and always clean. We went to the cafe on site for breakfast and the breakfast baps were wonderful great produce and perfectly cooked. My son had the scrambled eggs on toast and they were the best eggs I have ever tasted. This was a great location with lots to do in the area as a family, we loved crabbing at Walberswick and Thorpeness is pretty with a great boating lake. I would highly recommend this campsite for its facilities, activities for children, location, staff helpfulness, shop and cafe. We will definitely return. Thank you Haw Wood Farm we had a fantastic holiday.

"Great Campsite"

Mrs B Brady - Stayed with family, Apr 2018

Nicely kept site where the owners are more than helpful with anything you need. We took our 2 grandsons aged 8 and 10 who made friends and loved the freedom of cycling and playing around the site. Loved crabbing at close by Walberswick form where you can walk along... Nicely kept site where the owners are more than helpful with anything you need. The site is perfectly placed next door to High Lodge for shooting, fishing, archery and golf. We would definitely recommend and will return.

"3rd visit."

Anonymous - Stayed with family, Apr 2018

As ever, campsite was an ideal spot for a break with our children (9+6). Pitches are very well organised as is the site in general. Toilets and shower blocks were consistently spotless. The cafe is very handy (local produce used) and the play area is a nice safe area... As ever, campsite was an ideal spot for a break with our children (9+6). Pitches are very well organised as is the site in general. Toilets and shower blocks were consistently spotless. The cafe is very handy (local produce used) and the play area is a nice safe area for kids to run free. Georgina and Dan are very friendly and welcoming, and are always willing to help if needed. This is now our 'go to' campsite!

"wet but welcoming"

Mr S Thompson - Stayed with partner, Apr 2018

despite the awful Easter weather, we still enjoyed our mini break at Haw Wood Farm. The welcome was as warm as ever and we enjoyed visiting the nearby antique centre.

The use of fire pits for evenings is a nice touch for those summer evenings talking with friends relaxing. The toilets and washing facilities are excellent. The staff are really nice and friendly. The small shop/ cafe is great. A nice play area for the kids with cut off times for late evening. Close to Harwich and southwold for days at the beach.

"Excellent site"

Very friendly staff happy to help you with anything. Very clean facilities and a great layout. Can be boggy when wet, but if you’re not averse to such things it’s a great place to stay. Overall impression is just how friendly the place is. Very happy indeed.

Unfortunately the weather was not great but the site was lovely and the new washroom and shop facilities are excellent. There was no security barrier so anyone could come and go. If like us you have a motorhome and once parked up you don't move it then the nearest pub, The Fox, Darsham is 1.7m walk and when you get there you might find it closed as they don't open on Mon & Tues, even Bank Holiday!! The nearest public transport is Darsham rail station which is 1.9m along a reasonably busy road, most of which has a footpath though. If you like walking the country lanes from the site are quiet and the walk into Dunwich through the Westleton Heath National Nature Reserve is lovely. Westleton is another pretty village worth visiting. This probably wasn't the best site for us but it was very well managed, with friendly staff in a very beautiful part of the country.
